Early 2018, I was an overseas student @ UQ. I saw something about the Lions on the new student program thing where some of the players came to campus, and I thought, "heh, must be bad, they're last place lol".
2019, I was enchanted. Lions vs Port. That's when I was truly hooked.
Even when I'm back in Indonesia now, they will always have a place in my heart.
If not for this club, I wouldn't have known this beautiful sport

Not ashamed at all to admit I cried at full time. After 20 fucking years of wandering the wilderness, we bloody well went and did it. Still remember sitting through the game where we got smoked by North years back thinking “It’s gonna be worth it one day” and fuck me if it was worth it indeed. UP THE BLOODY LIONS!

Being a Lions fan as a kid in the 2010s was rough. Never got to watch them on tv much and they weren’t great. But all these years later and it’s all paid off. Saturday was just incredible, it still doesn’t feel real yet. Childhood dream has come true 🦁

Over a week later, and this still feels absolutely surreal to me. 21 years it has taken us to get back on top of the AFL mountain, and it was only appropriate that Joe Daniher kicks the last goal of the 2024 Grand Final. I'm forever indebted to Joe and what he has done not just for us Lions fans, but footy fans in general. He deserves everything good that'll come his way in the next chapter of his life.
