      Hey, just wanted to say I'm really sorry that happened to you and your bike. I've had two bikes stolen over the years. I like to think there's a special place in Hell for bike thieves (endless ride, no saddle, random pike up the seat tube).

    • @johnwaynes4417

      Man, sorry to hear your bike was stolen. I had a 1974 Schwinn Super Le Tour stolen in high school. It was a beauty. I still think of that bike and how I miss it. It was stolen in 1988. Bike thieves are today's horse thieves of old. I hope you find it.

    Any product that is guaranteed to ‘creak’ is a no go for me. If anything, I’m a noise snob… all I want to hear is my drivetrain. NOTHING else.

      I agree, the only sound I accept to hear is the wind in my hair while riding, but I doubt that Nitto produces handlebars that are guaranteed to ‘creak’. I think it might be a rare quality issue in Zach’s case.

    • @tbz1551
      @tbz1551 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Bebo the two piece bar is a big reason too I would think. Seems like a nonsensical design. It is essentially a sealed clamp within a bolted clamp, guaranteed noise eventually.

      @benallgeier5932 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jaspervanestelfeen2173 Creaking is unfortunately something that happens often with bars that have a sleeved clamp area like that, bars with a bulge instead don’t creak

I bought the 42cm Nitto Noodle at first, and first ride knew I made a mistake. I then bought the 48cm Nitto Noodle, and after the first ride knew right away these bars were perfect. I couldnt be more happier. The 48 cm Nitto Noodle is amazing.

    Love these style of videos − for me (a 22 year old asthmatic rider) I prefer narrower drop bars. Fit is the most important things and being inline with my shoulders means my upper body doesnt suffer on 100+ mile rides (especially with 2+ miles of elevation, going downhill with wide drops and a backpack killed my shoulders). But that's just me, for anyone who is reading. The rest I agree with 😂

  • @event4216

    Got Nitto B307AA instead of risers and use them upwards as my city riding doesn't require too much aero. So much more comfortable than risers! mainly for wrist position and for several hand positions. And clamp is bulged so if it will start creaking I'll know it's a stem or something, but not handlebars.

    Please do not order a Nitto 177, at least until I clear the waitlist and get one for my current project.
    My other go to bar is Cinelli 66 for bikes with brakes, in silver.
    I’ve tried compacts and other shapes, after a couple months I keep getting the 66s out of the parts bin. 66 has that nice deep drop so getting in the drops is different from being on the hoods or top, I don’t like being in one position the whole ride. Also the flats on the drops are big enough for the whole hand ,same as the 177. My pinkie finger is flopping in the breeze riding drops of ergo or compact bars.

It's the JKA (Japan Keirin Autorace) now that oversees bicycle and car racing, but the spec'd components are still branded with NJS in homage to that tradition. NJS was never meant to be top of the line, it was meant to keep the bikes within a tolerance standard so that no racer would have an advantage over the other. By modern standards NJS is pretty low tech, but that said, shit still rips

      @@carlostrejo9558 except for the fact he just featured a product that he said is “guaranteed to creak” which I would argue is ‘a mistake’ to purchase. I am an NJS fan, and believe in the fact they are ‘the standard’, but I do not exclusively buy NJS simply because it’s NJS, this is an example of that imo and kind of crazy to rave about a product and then throw in the afterthought that it will do the one thing most fixed gear riders hate… make noise.
