    Most foreign travellers to Malaysia think the people they interface with or meet in the streets and stores are Malaysians. No, chances are they are not Malaysians but migrant workers from a number of countries - Indonesia and Bangladesh the main sources.
    For example at 2:10 this video, all the three men are migrant Bangladeshi workers. Only the Chinese lady, presumably the store's owner or daughter of the owner, is local Malaysian.

    • @voyagesdiary

    • @muhd7144
      @muhd7144 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@voyagesdiary Definitely not if they are legally documented foreign/migrant workers. I made the earlier comment merely to underline the fact that Malaysia, like USA, is host to a large number of migrant workers. Dr Mahathir, when he was Prime Minister of Malaysia in 2019, even then said there were at least 7 million migrant workers in Malaysia, mostly from Indonesia and Bangladesh. That's a large number equivalent to 22 percent of the country's population and 45 percent of the country's workforce.

    Black thorn durians are selling at premium price. Too expensive even for locals. Musang King is also expensive. Next time go for Red Prawn or Tekka durians. They are also very good but less expensive. More affordable & worthwhile.

    I think there’s a miscommunication/misunderstanding there. Perhaps the workers assume that you know, but they only dish out half of the durian open to you, and you are expected to open the other half of the durian yourself, you can see that they already pre-opened the other half for you. Perhaps you left assuming that you have finished all, and they assumed that you no longer wish to finish the durian (my assumption)

      @@voyagesdiary Yeah, if they failed to check with you, then that’s a minus on customer service. Price wise, although it’s more expensive then other locations, but they do have to pay for a more premium rental, and your durian is a Grade A above from what I can see in the video, so not too much different from other options. You may find a cheaper selection at some other other place, but usually at a lower grade/yield. As a local, I am only willing to pay for grade C and below lol 😅
