I was pretty sad to see Death go. Not only it was cool character played by a very good actor, but also... Death was pretty decent. Of all the supernatural entities they faced, Death was probably the most logical, just and reasonable. When I think about all those ridiculous angels with their tantrums and petty grievances, the absent god, the bratty devil... Death was the only adult.
Julian Richlings asked for Death's death, because he's such a busy actor and had a contract with another show that SPN could rarely get his services. If you remember in S2.01 'In My Time of Dying', SpiritDean says "You can't kill Death" when playing the Ouija board with Sam at the hospital.
Now that you're through season 10, it's time for the first Hillywood Show Supernatural parody! I promise that it's completely worth watching, so I hope that you do.
I mean, I guess Dean knew he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he knew that he had passed on the mark to someone else, knowing he couldn’t handle it himself. Dean wouldn’t want anyone to suffer like that, no matter who it is, especially from something he did to them.
True death did say those words but remember they said that that scythe was the only thing that could kill him or it was a rumor that it could kill him and it turned out to be true in season 5 Dean had the scythe but death got it back so he was always able to die for the longest time since season 5 we knew that could kill him
the mark, what it is, was a bombshell, before there was anything and even death could not kill the wearer. then dean actually killed him, the only monster he treated w/ respect and was walking on eggshells the first time he met him. i couldnt wait to see the fallout next season.
Death dying was definitely a shock to me. Didn't think it was possible either. Thought Dean hitting him with the scythe was going to be just an annoyance to him.
Season 10’s episodes did have recaps, but for some reason they were all removed on Netflix so I usually switch over to dvds to rewatch 10. As for the ep, I really enjoy it even though it’s sad to see Death go, but it sets up for a really fire season 11 😊
This is the third season in a row to end with the brothers having a heartfelt emotional talk in a abandoned building. Just saying Sigh this show is so lucky to have two top notch actors
Great season finale!! I understand your frustrations but Dean would never want someone to experience what he went through with the Moc and anyway If the mark hadn't been removed we wouldn't have a plot for season 11 lol!! speaking of, incoming my fav season!!!
I mean, you’ve been saying all season that it would come to this, lol.. one brother killing another.. Dean was living Cain’s life, just in reverse, remember? So of course it was going to come down to Dean possibly killing his brother in the end.. can’t wait for the next season! ☺️👍🏼
I actually really liked the way death died. It was established, before we even met him, that his scythe is the only thing that can kill him. So for him to give the only weapon that can kill him, to Dean, was incredibly stupid. So what I mean by I like the way death died, is that I like, that no one else but himself was responsible for his death. He shouldn't have given the scythe away.
Shame Death had to die. Also Dean wouldn’t want to have someone else bare the Mark, besides than that person would become an unstoppable killer and eventual knight of hell
everyone seems to forget that when we first met Death in season 5 Dean was going to try and kill him because death can only be killed by one of his own scythes. Dean had it in his hand but Death was ready and made it hot so Dean dropped it and Death took it back. So it was very clearly stated how to kill him way back then. We just never wanted to do it before but he very clearly just told Dean that if Dean didn't kill Sam then he would. so in that moment he changed his mind he couldn't just say oops no i cant do this. it was Sam or Death in that moment and we all how how Dean would choose. I loved Death but I totally got it here.
i agree, id like to think the mark allowed dean to properly wield the sythe like how only certain people can wield mjolnir or stormbreaker for different reasons and with varying results. headcannon is that it makes sense that the mark would make any weapon useable to its fullest potential in dean's hands but very sad to see death go
Still finding small things to grab onto in this season (yes probably just where my mind was at, but alas) I always enjoy seeing Death & Crowley so they were added plusses for me. But I also felt that having Death involved with the struggle of the brothers inner problems was beneath the character. But I still mourn the loss of seeing him again. I still have no love for Rowena, and it did not hurt me at all to see her in pain, ok I might have had a twinge of empathy for her. I did not like the ending smoke (whatever) arise out of the earth at the end, because it was too much like the angels falling and therefore made it a reuse which I don't like and I think makes this fall into just another CW show. I am losing the feeling by now that the show is unique and is just following tv blueprint.
Season 12 is ass. On rewatch the season 11 finale is the end of Supernatural for me. It's all downhill after to me. I know others think different but the only good episode in the final 4 seasons was the 300th and nothing will change my mind.

Death wasn't trying to keep Dean alive out of the goodness of his heart. He was trying to keep the mark intact.

Fun fact death was actually going to send dean to vormeir to be the keeper of the soul stone for all eternity
Now that you're through season 10, it's time for the first Hillywood Show Supernatural parody! I promise that it's completely worth watching, so I hope that you do.
He already reacted to it, go check it out.

But Death didn't "die" here. Only this avatar of him did. Death cannot die.
One of my favorite Season Finales of Supernatural...
Rest in peace Death.
He will never share a meal with Dean ever again.

Crowley did say in season 5 when he gave Dean the sicle that it kills angels, demons, reapers and rumoured even death itself

I would absolutely love to see your reaction to Supernatural Parody by Hillywood. Just not the 2nd one because that one still has spoilers in it.
RIP Death..I like the actor
And we're finally about to crack in to my favorite season! I will be gushing.
yippie!!
This is the third season in a row to end with the brothers having a heartfelt emotional talk in a abandoned building. Just saying

I think you can't just give the Mark to someone. The person has to willingly accept it.
Great season finale!! I understand your frustrations but Dean would never want someone to experience what he went through with the Moc and anyway If the mark hadn't been removed we wouldn't have a plot for season 11 lol!! speaking of, incoming my fav season!!!
season 11 is really great!!
Lol loved that TNA Scott Steiner promo

Omg that's Dary from LetterKenny. I never realized he was in this.
I would absolutely die of joy if you added a Pause counter while editing.
Though i understood if you dont want to do that for multiple reasons XD
You’re going real quick and I love it

as soon as Death handed Dean his own scythe, I knew he was a goner. I was pretty pissed at the time.

@JerBear Reacts lol! Your logic is perfect but then there wouldn't be the threat with the Darkness next season.
I forgot there was another episode. Cool
i agree, id like to think the mark allowed dean to properly wield the sythe like how only certain people can wield mjolnir or stormbreaker for different reasons and with varying results. headcannon is that it makes sense that the mark would make any weapon useable to its fullest potential in dean's hands but very sad to see death go
But we know that's not true in a future season (not saying when or what due to spoilers). It has nothing to do with the Mark, it's the scythe.
I may be wrong, but I think tha Mark cannot be given just to any random, Cain said something about

I love season 11
Season 12 not too much
Season 12 is ass. On rewatch the season 11 finale is the end of Supernatural for me. It's all downhill after to me. I know others think different but the only good episode in the final 4 seasons was the 300th and nothing will change my mind.
ngl I love season 12 for all its messiness
