Thanks Elizabeth, yes my hand is getting better thank you. It was a great weekend, making new friends and people coming together for the first time. Several of those are now planning another event :D
Now that looked fun, especially the bits we didn't see 😁 Great to see such a diverse selection of boats and the Story out on the water again. If you do it again and the stars align I may even join you. Well done all.
Brill weekend, It was nice to meet you all. Thanks Lee for your company on our 2 trips down the river and saving the sheep. Thanks Karl for the weekend and such a good vidio
SO gutted I missed this. Don’t forget they all came together because of you and your channel. That’s awesome. The night paddle looked really good! Shame The Cockney Kayaker couldn’t make it. I WILL get up to your neck of the woods before the year’s out and we’ll get out on the water 👍🏻 Great video big man.
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I bet you were . I saw you at Lees. I would have come up but I don’t have a canoe. May get one bit in my budget , not sure if they would be any good. Those inflatables look like they would be to much for my condition, as you never look like you can get enough momentum to have a rest. Glad you got a good weekend
Mostly you can get enough momentum to take a rest, especially paddling on slow flowing water or down river. However, like this weekend, it can be challenging when it's windy because if you're paddling into it and you stop, you end up getting blown back a little and have to get the momentum going again.
There'll be others Claire :D I'm already thinking about after the school hols so the site isn't too busy. Having said that though that might make it difficult for you 😬
Ha ha ha, it was indeed 18:00 when I got home. it was a cracking weekend, nice to meet new people and also to get out on the river for the second and only time, this year. That night paddle was fantastic. #PaddleMafia
Cheers :D I wish I'd recorded more of the jibber jabber... I reckon I could have done a stand alone video with ll the 'that's what she said' comments from the weekend hahaha
This looked absolutely brilliant fun. Can I ask you a couple of questions, I very nearly bought the GoPlus last night but was put off by the reviews on Amazon. Several people were complaining about the poor quality of the drop stick skin, how is your particular kayak and how last have you owned yours for now please? Also re the Itiwit, how do you get on with drying this thoroughly in the winter please? Thank you and I really enjoy your videos….
I don't have an Itiwit however they have awesome reviews and the ones I've seen are good quality - but go for the single skin one! As for the GoPlus... That craft has surprised me the most! The pump is shit. The paddle is shit. But the craft itself is brilliant value in its own right. I've used it for kayak camping trips, bike kayaking trips - it's handled them all with ease 👍
Well it’s just arrived Karl, really impressed with the whole package. Inflated using the crappy pump and to be fair it was ok, I mean it is only 8psi. Gave it a good look over and there’s not a mark on it, perfect. As for the rest of the supplied kit, the paddle does look ok, just have to wait and see, the seat certainly lacks any padding, but it’s ok. The bag/hold-all is again pretty good and nicely oversized. All in all for £315 I’m well chuffed and want to thank you again for bringing this kayak to everyone’s attention, great little product.

Nice one Karl, and thanks to Tina for making our paddles together fun. I learnt quite a bit from her about the outdoors. Until the next time cheers 🍻
Yeah we need to do another soon 👍😁

What a great weekend, and I know it takes some organising, fabulous 👌 Karl, well ✔
Cheers John 👍😁
Me n the boy had a great time. Tnx Karl
I'm really glad you did Dave... Thanks so much for coming :)
How's Paul getting on with his new purchase?
Looked amazing. Brilliant idea. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome Karen. There's another coming up in October if you're interested? 😁
Looks like a good weekend, didn't let some slightly dodgy weather spoil it!
For this type of weekend my main concern was always going to be the weather. It could have been better. It could have been worse 😁👍

It was great fun despite the slightly unseasonable weather 😁👍
It's going to happen again!

It was great meeting you Tina and a pity our outing times didn't gel. No doubt there'll be others and they will 👍😁
Good video Karl I wouldn’t have enjoyed the moths flying around on the night paddle , the boats looked cool 😎 with all the lights on .
Cheers Lee :) I was going to do the old fart challenge but it slipped my mind :D
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner No worries it proves your an old fart 😂

The Cockney Kayaker did make it, I just didn't catch him on cam. Plus we ended up going out at different times 👍😁
Glad you had a good weekend nice selection of craft
Cheers Ken. I wanted to take some footage of all the boats lined up, but I was having so much fun it slipped my mind 😁

What kind of string lights are people using on their boats? Fun looking video!
I'm not sure what the boys had on the canoe but I had these on the two smaller boats amzn.to/3uP06zW
