You can make pewter pins relatively easily. 3D print your object, polish it up, and use Mold Max 60 to make a pewter safe mold of it. Pewter can be cast at stove top temperatures too, there's lots of resources for how to get your moulds and castings to turn out really well.
It's my plan to use this method to add a bit of my Italian heritage to my kilt with a custom pin.

I have several printed kilt pins. They have many advantages :
    - Cheap. A "not so bad" kilt pin is about 30-50€ where I live (France), these are decent products, not homemade, but fine. Would I want many of them ? Maybe but my wallet is too low for this, I prefer putting my money in something more focused like a kilt.
    - Varied. Many kilt pins are like "a sword with something (boat, circle, rose, thistle...)" or so ; a 3D printer allows people to unleash their creativity. One of my kilt pin is a squid and I'm working on a xenormorph kilt pin.
    - About texture (...), there are a great numbers of filaments, as some are tinted inside, there is little need to paint them.
One problem that will remain for a while : their sensivity to uv light.

As a long time kilt wearer, and even longer time 3D printer, if you know what you are doing then you can definitely get a really good quality and make some nice kilt pins or even buckles. You will likely just have to design your own .stl’s. And take some time to tidy it up.

What is the thing the gargoyle head is hanging from? Phonetic spelling is failing me.
