    I drove my 2023 KLRs to the top of Mt. Washington this past Thursday during Laconia Bike week ! What an adventure! The KLR climbs like a mountain goat! 😊

    Nicely setup. Regret selling my Gen 2 and now I cant stop thinking about the 3’s.

      That's how I ended up here. I had an 09 that was set up similarly, sold it and missed it and bought this.

    Nice video. I have the same bike, and want to add aux lighting. So you ordered factory aux light harness and the switch? I have the relay already. Plug and play?

    • @LarryMusgrave
      @LarryMusgrave  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I ordered from Babbits Online. The factory fog harness is 26031-3860 for $58.01.
      The factory switch is 27010-0968 for $88.50.
      This will make it plug and play down to the harness connector at each side. Then you'll go to cycleterminal.com to order terminals to put on your aftermarket lights so that they plug in like factory. You be looking at the Sumitomo 2 pin HD 090, I forget if you need male (I think so) or female (I think your harness will be female). So around $2-$3 each. These are complete sealed OEM connectors.
      That's it. Pick your lights and mounts and it's a pretty straight forward plug and play install.

    Larry, you could use a towel or painter's tape over your plate. There was a half second where we could see your plate. Sorry for suggesting monetization makes making videos harder for you... nice bike, I like multiple cylinders a bit smoother ride.

      I'm learning. I bought Power Director 365 and I'm watching videos to learn how to do things. I'm a torch and hammer kind of guy, but I'm trying to learn the tech side.

      I'm sitting here at work thinking about the mistakes I made in life over the latest 24 hours.... I realized something! It is NOT TH-cam who cares about seeing a license plate, it is AMAZON. While uploading Amazon review videos, if they see a license plate or house number they will delete the entire review. I need to verify with YT, but I believe I was incorrect in what I said and also believe that YT does not care.

    I wouldn’t have even noticed your license plate but the fact that you tried to blur it out and failed multiple times and then keep saying oh I gotta be careful don’t wanna show my license plate, while showing your license plate about four times in this video, really brought my attention to it. I don’t understand why you just didn’t take your license plate off if it was that big of a deal for the video. The only people that can run your license plate is law-enforcement and I don’t think that someone is going to be calling their buddy who is in law-enforcement to do them a favor and run your plate so they can find out who you are.

      Actually the plate thing is an Amazon thing. I was mistaken. I had recently done an Amazon product review and in the distant background was my truck plate. Amazon deleted my video for showing personal info. I was mistaken, it's not a YT thing, it's an Amazon thing. But I was trying to use this video to learn how blur. I'm am amateur level video editor, so almost everything I do is on a learning curve.

    im gonna order the v stream mid windscreen. hoping its not too high. how tall are you?

    • @LarryMusgrave
      @LarryMusgrave  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm 5 foot 7 inches and the mid is borderline to tall. I don't prefer to be looking thru a wind screen, and the mid with the riser puts it in my field of view.

    Do you feel the fork brace is a necessity on this bike? Thanks for the video

      I don't think it's a must have at all. But it's just one more incremental way to tighten up the inexpensive bike with pretty much obsolete suspension and frame design.
      The Killer 650 is cutting edge 1985 technology. When you look at the frame and suspension compared to other bikes in the realm of adventure or dual sport, it's at best tied for the least advanced system available.
      Don't get me wrong. I love my killer. But I'm not delusional, I know why it's the cheapest option out there, and I like the garden tractor like simplicity of the thing.
