9/11 Memorial - New York City

September 11, 2001 changed New York and the people of the United States forever. The 9/11 Memorial is one of New York's newest sites and also one of the most visited. The pools are surrounded by bronze panels, with the names of everyone who died in the 2001 and 1993 attacks. The panels remind visitors of the human cost of 9/11. The new Freedom Tower, officially World Trade Center Tower One, is now an icon of the New York cityscape.
