Usually when Dylan’s tryna hoe whoever’s in 1st it’s Ben or Leland that are first or their job is to just race and come in 1st. Usually it’s Mark, Des and Dylan that try hoeing with items to keep them in the back.

@lamarallen4474 I don't think so. Mark and Dylan have clearly learned how to maximize their speed for a majority of the game. The last 3 or 4 games Dylan clearly learned how to pace himself between the group to get past. But mark and him were consistently top 2 placing.
Mark is saying, instead of playing for placement, play for overall points. They're worried about not getting 3 or 4 as the total score, when they should realize "okay i have NO chance of winning this set, but if I can make Des get 1st and force mark to 4th they will tie. No one gets a set and I can play better the next set."
They're not doing that and so they hand clear wins to people that could be stopped.😂 Leland especially just hit people just to hit them in the 3rd round.😂

I won't lie both sides got solid points for real. On the one hand Mark's argument at times makes sense, they defer to fighting to maintain their places instead of taking out the person in first or the person who has a leading set and might win the whole round. On the other hand sometimes you literally cannot get the person in first and have to at least maintain your position. I can get Des getting mad annoyed though, you got chat calling him trash and last place but also his homies not only calling him trash but literally putting him in last cause they don't use proper strategy.

Wow that argument at the end was something, but the way I see it is at the end of day, everyone is racing to get the first 2-3 sets, there is no teaming up or hoeing the person in first, if yall can't race to catch up then thats how it is, try again next time.
To go in depth, Mark, Dylan, and Des think something I call "Pack mentality" where they would group up to work together because it would benefit each other until it doesn't, which is why once one of them get in first, they try to push everyone in the back to fight each other. Ben and Leland are just fighting free for fall, which is what Mario kart really is, but because there's only 5 people in the lobby, the power level of the items aren't strong enough to push the person in first to the back, which is why Mark is calling them out for not thinking and attacking everyone when they're not in first.

Meh, there still is strategy in how you race, drifting perfectly, short cuts etc, then you gotta think about the skills of each individual racer, who’s a threat to you at the given moment, you gotta think about using ur items at beneficial times, and thinking about who got the most points, who’s gonna win the match and potentially get the set, and with all that there’s a layer of strategy on who you should decide to hit, and how you should play, yeah you can play without thinking about all this, and Mario kart will always got that bit of randomness too it, but I think the politics of it is what makes it entertaining to play, as it makes the game a more deeper experience, and it makes for a more entertaining watch

Leland is what you call a fast learner and he just sticks to what he knows and doesn't develop out past that level much. Dyl is the opposite, he is an extremely slow learner but continues to learn from every mistake and sticks with it.
If Leland venture out his comfort zones and gets the same retention level as Dyl he would be unstoppable, but because he sticks to the K.I.S.S. method (Keep It Simple Stupid) he doesn't grow and eventually is passed.
