- In this second part of my surf trip to Byron, I share some super fun, shallow tubes alongside some LONG rides at a beginner friendly point break.
I loved making this clip and it's really only possible thanks to my awesome Patrons who have joined me in the last month. These are awesome peeps who get access to helpful surf coaching videos each week right here MY PATREON PAGE - / kalesbroccoli
We'll have weekly tutorials as per normal once we hit 200 patrons because then I'll hire an editor!

You make the most beautiful videos ever, mad respect!! Love from Southern Cali🤙🏽🌺
Thank you!!
Point brakes are my favorite! Looks like so much fun . What awesome spots
Love every one of these clips!!!! That spot looks so much fun 😄😄
Another beautiful video! I shared the last one with my daughter & she said "let's go!". (Of course borders are closed). We're long boarders and love the sense of connection and peace when you get those nice, long glides. Looks like you had a good hike (or paddle) to get back to the point! Awesome!
So good! Can’t wait to get my new longboard :)
Hi kale
Great Video
Some of those ride went forever
Good to see you on the mal
Kale briefly riding an actual longboard was definitely surprising, when he switched back to the fish mid session I thought “ahh yes, back to normal”😂
I love watching your tutorials and am learning on a 6ft. board. I'm 52 yrs young living on Lake Erie in Cleveland Ohio. We don't have many waves and they are dangerous when big but I'm determined to learn and rent long boards when on vacay at the ocean. Thanks for all the advice. Stay stoked 🤙🌊
🙌🏽🤙🏽
Perfect holiday location with friends... 🌊 loved the POV with the fish 4:58
Amazing vid well done kale🤙 Love from vic
Amazing place!!
Brilliant!
Broooooo! That wave was so freaking long!! Arrgghhhhh so so siick lol can't wait to get waves back like that here! Yeewww 🤙🏼

😍
Dude those were some long rides! Looked so fun! Hope you are well mate!
This vlog was banging keep it up 🤙
Thank you! Will do
i love the pass, my favourite wave
Thanks for sharing 👍 rainforest for the win
Getting spoiled with some great content Kale again👌
Thanks Oli!
The end of the video made my day thanks kales 🥬
🎉
Hey kale. Nice to see some shots of the shire. Im a local of Brunswick heads boat harbour and thought maybe I could show you a wave close to here go for a spin on my zodiac for a scurfing session and maybe we can both make a video about it 🤙 let me know ow what you think. Cheers
Sage
I live right down the street from Christensons shop...what beautiful boards he makes.
thanks the one long log wave was epic
Love the vid 🤙🤙🤙
yeah well that looks more fun than you can poke a stick at. we sure are lucky to be living here. glad to see there will be a bit of longboarding soon
😍
Shame you weren't still here this weekend bro - The Pass has been cranking! 🔥
It’s breaking my heart a little
@@KalesBroccoli good excuse to head back up soon bro! Hit me up if you head this way and we can collab on an edit! 🤙
Beautiful waves, you are lucky, dude.
Lol that’s Liam Thompson song for his intro loll nice content my man
Man, great vids and keep it coming from Manhattan beach LA (south california) :D
Thanks! Look forward to coming back to Cali too!
That food looked beautiful 🤙🏽✌🏽very interested in you lifestyle channel or what have you you’ve mentioned. Keep us posted.
this christenson fish seem pretty dope =), it's seem you had a blast with it .
Nice waves and awesome camera person for the first part of the video! Would love to surf down under someday. Quick question what camera mount/handle are you using when you are surfing the longboard on those super long rides?
Working on a proper set up and will share when it works!
Fun fact: As of the time this video dropped, Byron has the highest rate of businesses on JobKeeper than any town or city in the country
Perfect wish I was there
Every wave is a green zeythr glided over the healing sand of the bungling mob....
365 days ago, I was flying to Australia for my 40 days trip of a lifetime ♥️ I really miss summer 2019, Byron Bay, Queensland, Kakadu, Great Barrier, Uluru...
Nice!!
My trip of a lifetime was very similar but 12 years ago in '08.
Good memories and now I get to pass it along to my little girl. Amazing what life brings. Be good
I love Byron , try to surf there a couple of days a week from the Goldie ......but this time of year with the whale migration , tallows, broken head etc ....the sharkiest place in Australia
I’ve been watching your channel and How to rip.
Man those were long rights, feels like infinity in a good way
i would love to go there and surf
Crowded!? I've never seen that break so empty.
🤙🏽
Ha - that's quite true
Its off season + covid. If Kales thinks this place is cool and not too busy, try again in 6 months. Bleh.
I don’t know there’s a bit of a crowd
But I’m from southern Cali so I haven’t seen that place break
cool vid enjoy our paradise
I would love to see more longboarding videos. Cheers from San Diego.
They’re coming
Fantastic! I enjoy your channel very much. Keep up the great work!
hey Kales, to prevent water droplets on the lens of your go-pro try spitting on it.. it sounds weird but trust me it actually works!
Thanks! Working on a hack atm
Kale is that a Christensen Twinny w/ the glass on keels??? Looked SO sick!
You have to go to the Sunny Coast mate!
Please add more
Nice one we live 30 minutes north from the pass! What size was that christenson fish you were surfing?
that looked epic
5’9 I think
I don’t know if you do this but a cool tip for POV sessions is to lick the lens on your camera and it repels the drops of water
I have applied the hack now I just need to fix my new mount system 🙄 hard re-inventing the wheel
You should definitely make more vlogs
Working on it
Is it easy for you to duck dive your raptor?
Another great Video mate 🤙🏼 . Quick one: are you using the GoPro 360 camera that allows to switch between forward/front view and selfie when editing in the computer? Or are u using a normal Gorpro but with a selfie stick that turns the camera ?
Never mind mate. The 360 it is. Just saw your prev video.
360 !
try surfing the break behind the pass
WhT size is that
Beautiful place Byron Bay . Kale did you surf at Ship wreck I think its called ? Any favourite secret spots you can advise on as the family and I are heading up there late September after a few weeks of doing your coaching lessons in the first two weeks of Spetemeber and late August . Keep up the videos and patron is unreal really helpful obi one konbi 😁😊😁😊😊🤘🤘
Go exploring!
@@KalesBroccoli from Maroubra to Avalom lol
yewww
Aren't you lucky living in the most beautiful place in the world. Maybe someday i can move to Australia
What is this surf spot called might have to make a trip down there
You’ll have to search around for it :)
Hi mate. Picking up a bit of a Christopher Pyne vibe from you. Kind regards. Mr Snake
Ew
@@KalesBroccoli a cheery, surfing Mr Pyne is just the kind of leader surfing needs right now. Keep fighting the good fight and reach for the stars. Kind regards, Mr Snake
Wait dude that one wave lasted forever🤯
First. Love the vids
The crowds there make me jealous. Ever seen 1st Point Malibu? 😬
Haha yes avoided
WTF HOW LONG WAS THAT WAVE!!!!!
Crazy long! I had one that was 1:25 but the lens was too blurry
That one that ya rode through the surf school - so much fun; such good footage, easily felt like you were ridding it yourself
Music ?
Where do you surf
In the ocean
Ok
You're more likely to find a Tasmanian Tiger walking around than you are to find etiquette in the surf in Australia.
Disagree
I lived on the GC for many years, and it might be the drop-in capital of the world. (And yes, I realise Byron Bay is not on the GC.)
Man I wish I cold surf those waves
You can!
Sounds like a northshore of Sydney accent .
Nope. Adelaide
K.brock, probably the coolest free surfer in the web. Actually I'm not sure he's real, he could be an avatar...
😂
Nice vid bro but be nicer if you didnt say where it was..... Oh well the traffic, sharks and parking meters keep most of the peeps outta of the water
I always make a point of never sharing the specific breaks
Byron is no secret
Wuhan Flu crowds
How to rip..on a longboard??.. noooo he’s washed up.. ol man log has kidnapped the internets favorite ripper
😂😂😂
Spriche bitte deutsche
Nein
@@beberips You do realize that's a contradictions. 😆
lol - Ja
Surfing has lost its appeal
