I get why you switched!!! I’ve found spelling lists don’t work for my kids!!! We love TGTB language arts but don’t do the spelling in it as I’ve found it doesn’t work for my kids!!! We tried the approach of everyday spelling but it didn’t work for us!!! It be awesome to see how it works!!!
It’s possible, but I would highly recommend doing the placement test they have on their website to verify because the “levels” aren’t necessarily grade level (i.e. AAS Level 3 doesn’t necessarily corresponded to 3rd grade spelling level). It will depend a lot on your child.
I hated all about spelling 😆 all the letter tiles. We don't do lists either though 🤷 we just do copywork every morning. My children either write a passage from the Bible or from a poem. I just figured spelling programs are pretty much just repetitive copying down words anyhow. I just saved a little bit of money 😁
Yes!! I totally get it. We did the tiles with my son, but my girls LOVE using the app now (and I like not having to mess with the tiles). My son seems to do well with spelling the way you describe it…my girls, not so much 🤣. I love that there are so many different approaches we can take! 🙌🏻
Is there a massive difference between the color vs black & white? We’ve done level 1 & 2 but it was miserable. We have done all levels of AAR but AAS was so dull.
I find this new version to be a bit more like AAR, mainly because of the added activity book. We are currently using Level 2, and when I compare to my B&W level 2, the lessons line up pretty much for the most part, but now each lesson has a corresponding activity from the workbook (usually something you cut out & manipulate, again, reminds me of AAR!). The other difference is they have a new "Advanced Application" sections of the activity book that you can use with older kids that need more of a challenge. If a more detailed flip-through would be helpful, let me know! I know it can be hard to tell sometimes when just viewing online/on the webpage and I'd be happy to do it.
@@blessedhomeschool I have the Black and white Level 1-3 but I want to add the Activity books....Can I use the old teacher manual and studetns cards and still use the new acticity book?
@@shawnawalz3012 I would think so, but you might ask the company just to make sure…only because level 2 is the only one I’ve really compared between both options, so I’m not 100% sure about level 1 and 3. My guess would be you would be able to though!
Im so glad the level 3 came out! Just in time as we are wrapping up level 2 :)
Perfect timing!! Thank you for watching!
Yes to seeing more inside! 😊
You got it!

Will do! Thanks for watching!!
I have a third grader next year & was wondering if I would be able to start with AAS level 3 without doing the previous levels?
