Jordan ‘ready to intercept’ rockets from Iran and Houthis

- Former British commander Richard Kemp believes Jordan is “ready to intercept” Iranian rockets launched from Iran or from the Houthis in Yemen.
Several people were killed, and 4,000 were wounded after handheld pagers belonging to Hezbollah members exploded.
“I know, for sure, that Arab countries like Jordan are ready to intercept Iranian rockets coming either from Iran itself or from the Houthis in Yemen,” Mr Kemp told Sky News Australia.
“I’m sure also - I don’t know this for certain - but I’d be surprised if allied air forces like the US Airforce and the Royal Airforce are not already preparing themselves to help defend Israel.
“Israel’s focus is clearly on the north, but it has to protect itself throughout the whole country as well.”
