The Sims & Mac have actually collabed already *technically* , they released a patch update a couple months ago where they added a bunch of new makeups to the Sims 4 game with the mac logo on them LOL

I was so disappointed cause I love sims but literally they just recycled solar glow times nine and added maybe what, two “new” shades? I was expecting a bright and colorful palette not that! And I actually really liked the solar glow palette even though the pans were so small, in particular the shade metalmauve was one of my favorites because it was a silvery purple that I had never seen before. Just so disappointing from both MAC and the Sims teams
Those Rainforest of the sea palettes 😬😬😬 the color story is full AF and I couldn't pick a damn shade up on a brush if my life depended on it. Gave them to my 11 year old daughter to play with 😅

I also think it would have made sense if instead of just a james charles mini palette they did maybe two mini palettes, a mini neutrals and mini colors, that way people who are just getting into makeup but love charles could dip their toes into his favorite neutrals, or those who already have neutrals in their collection can supplement with james' favorite colors.

i just looked it up... i hate it. I LOVE friends.... even the packaging, just awkwardly cropped pictures you can get off google images. The only thing I liked was the "lipstick for men". And even the shade names, I've watched the whole friends series like 15 times and i'm still confused. Ross's pallet ... that's rough. Don't ask me why I am so heated, I didn't even know it existed until I saw your comment. Hannah got me in the rant mood.
MAC also doesn't release a lot of stuff. Not here in the UK anyway. Even Christmas stuff is minis of stuff they already have bundled together. Personally I buy from ColourPop but I haven't purchased from MAC for years. Also MAC treats their employees like crap. As a 90s teen though MAC was the place to go for make-up, everyone used the spice lip pencil and their lip glass. As a super pale person it was the only brand that got anywhere near my skin colour. So I guess I'm saying imo ColourPop is better and a lot cheaper.
Colourpop, imo, does have very *frequent* launches, but I don't think that they're necessarily *boring* or **lazy**. 🤔 But I am a pretty biased Colourpop addict, I'll be honest. That notorious MAC/Sims collab, on the other hand...PEAK LAZY.

i actually have the mini james charles palette! i wanted the og one but when i searched them in stores the mini felt sooo much better in terms of consistency. plus realizing how much eyeshadow i own already, it seemed like the economic choice to get the smaller size so i might have a chance to use it up rather than the big one!
I actually love the miss piggy face palette... I find the blushes really easy to blend, not too pigmented so it’s easy to apply, and all the colours are really wearable. Also they are cream blushes lmao. Idk people be hating on it but I have almost the whole collection and I really like it 😅
Just by seeing it in the photos that you posted, I thought that the color story was very original, and I have never seen those colors in a face palette before, and as there appears to darker shades, it would appeal to people with a darker skin tone. I do get your point about everything else. You should definitely start a consulting business! Also, I think MAC used to go all in with their collabs, but they haven't done done that in several years.
I think Hannah’s point is that it could have been more creative. Imagine if it were the same colours but the packaging had the face of miss piggy inside with different colours filling different parts of the face. Or even just something stamped onto the pans.
I think the point was the palette had absolutely nothing to do with Miss Piggy. It just had her name and a picture of her and that was it. It was a very lazy and pointless design and marketing idea.

I feel like what Morphe and James should have done is make a series of mini pallets. For example, they could have had a green pallet where they have the greens/yellows and then have a few other new shades in it, and then they could have a pink/purple one, a neutral one, a red/orange one, etc. I think it would have shown that there was some more thought put into it and it would let people pick and choose in case they did not like a certain color but they wanted to expand their colorful collection. It would have also been better for Morphe because by having multiple pallets, there's more to sell, even though there's choice there would be people to buy all of them, and you know it would be popular bc it's James. Idk I've thought about this a lot

Colourpop, imo, does have very *frequent* launches, but I don't think that they're necessarily *boring* or **lazy**. 🤔
But I am a pretty biased Colourpop addict, I'll be honest.
That notorious MAC/Sims collab, on the other hand...PEAK LAZY.
@@everjustcuriousdesigns5190 I think that their palettes that go straight to ulta are pretty lazy, but they do have a lot of collections that they put a lot of effort into making sure the packaging is super beautiful and the colours are pretty wearable and cohesive.

I do love their packaging; as long as they don't rush production so fast that the quality of the products suffers, I'm like, "y'all do you." 😄

I hear you, girl. I am a massive Muppets fan and I did buy the blush palette. It's an amazing formula and it smells lovely, but I wished they had done a fun and exciting eyeshadow palette or something!
I think with the Jame Charles palette they could have chosen the “best” “more versatile” shades and do a mini with those shades, it would have been so much better
For real, when I hear a big palette is getting a mini I imagine they're going to pick a couple of shades that make a nice colour story and create a six or nine pan palette. Not that they will literally shrink the existing palette 💀💀

My family got me that palette for Christmas last year... honestly used twice.. worst formula! Can tell it was a collectors piece only. Boring colour story that they knew would sell no matter what.

I feel like they either didn't have a ton made or simply lied and marked it as sold out when it wasnt honestly. As someone who plays the sims all the time and is involved in the community, I don't know a single person who truly wanted to spend money on that palette.

i actually have the mini james charles palette! i wanted the og one but when i searched them in stores the mini felt sooo much better in terms of consistency. plus realizing how much eyeshadow i own already, it seemed like the economic choice to get the smaller size so i might have a chance to use it up rather than the big one!

I actually love the miss piggy face palette... I find the blushes really easy to blend, not too pigmented so it’s easy to apply, and all the colours are really wearable. Also they are cream blushes lmao. Idk people be hating on it but I have almost the whole collection and I really like it 😅
Just by seeing it in the photos that you posted, I thought that the color story was very original, and I have never seen those colors in a face palette before, and as there appears to darker shades, it would appeal to people with a darker skin tone. I do get your point about everything else. You should definitely start a consulting business! Also, I think MAC used to go all in with their collabs, but they haven't done done that in several years.
I think Hannah’s point is that it could have been more creative. Imagine if it were the same colours but the packaging had the face of miss piggy inside with different colours filling different parts of the face. Or even just something stamped onto the pans.
I think the point was the palette had absolutely nothing to do with Miss Piggy. It just had her name and a picture of her and that was it. It was a very lazy and pointless design and marketing idea.

Ended up being this early purely by accident after a very long workday on little sleep glad to see you go off on Mac and EA (Edit: the pumpkin spice pallet i didn’t know this existed and your roasts are SENDING MEEE)
I feel like what Morphe and James should have done is make a series of mini pallets. For example, they could have had a green pallet where they have the greens/yellows and then have a few other new shades in it, and then they could have a pink/purple one, a neutral one, a red/orange one, etc. I think it would have shown that there was some more thought put into it and it would let people pick and choose in case they did not like a certain color but they wanted to expand their colorful collection. It would have also been better for Morphe because by having multiple pallets, there's more to sell, even though there's choice there would be people to buy all of them, and you know it would be popular bc it's James. Idk I've thought about this a lot
I wish more brands would do minis because I never pan anything and I might have a better chance with smaller products - plus it's less expensive. 😀💜💄✌
