Thanks for watching, and definitely. I just wish I knew more... The Users Guide and Video Manual can only take you so far. The rest is all practice and implementation. May I ask how you found this video?
Great vid! I have question: on your playthrough at the end, the drums started with only hi-hat; then you moved a slider and the full kick and snare came in. What was programmed to the slider? Was it on the drum track, and you have IFX for those drum components, or was it programmed through Karma scenes, or some other way?
I am interested getting the Nautilus Workstation this year but wondering how can you live perform with the sequencer. When recorded tracks are played back in the sequencer, can I still live play along with it like in the Combi mode? Not only the selected track?
Yes - you would simply play along on your selected track with the Combi or Program on that track. Understand that some combi's may use more than one track, so you would have your pre-recorded music on the remaining tracks. With 16 Midi channels, and 16 Audio channels you really shouldn't have a problem. Of note, I just purchased a Korg Pa4X which is fantastic for playing live performances as well
@@ForeverLearning Many thanks for your quick reply, this information helps me a lot. Currently studying the Nautilus manual. The dynamic and deep sounds from the different engines may it worth not to have the fastest user interface and some work of programming!
Dirk - Thanks for the feedback. After some practice I was able to play the play piece with correct timing. So, at this point I could use Step Recording / Quantize to create the RPPR. However at the time I made this recording I just couldn't get the timing right. As far as Step Recording SLOW and then speeding up the RPPR? I don't think that can be done because while the Quantize function will adjust to the proper beat, it needs to have it played close to correct for it to adjust accordingly. Too far off from your target note and it will simply move the note into the next measure. I am not positive of this last statement, but this is what I believe. I will try it to TEST it out. But I do not think it will work. Check 4:55 of the video - I discuss this a little there. Again thanks for the feedback. Always looking for video ideas. If you'd like to see something, or have a video idea let me know and I'll try to accommodate you.
