How about transmission and gear ? Is it same ? I want buy MST, but i confused after see this video. Buy CMX or CFX.. CFX new & better than angle test from CMX. But traction CMX better than from CFX.. What i buy SCX10 ?
Hi. The CFX motor/transmission is an all metal planetary layout which is more compact giving it a weight bias to the front (good for climbing). The CMX gearbox and motor is centre mounted with the battery at the front (not so good for climbing but more stable due to even weight distribution). The beauty of the MST's is they will take any Tamiya CC-01 body. If you are thinking of a 313mm (like the SCX10) have a look at the MST CFX-W. This is their newest model and features portal axles
I want kit MST 252/262 mm because can upgrade body all body tamiya.. But after i compare with kit SCX10 313mm is very differents size (wheel, rim, kit) I just found that.. And price MST & Xtra speed scx10 for kit without body just slightly different. - kit Xtra Speed SCX10 $229 - kit MST $170 + must upgrade ($17 bearing, $23 shaft, $37 shock) How ur opinion which better,
Hi Ms. Being a crawler changing to bearings is less important than a car as you will only be driving at low speeds, the shocks are Ok - they do come with 3 different spring stiffness in the kit and I would only change the shaft if you break it. You will get better performance than ours because ours are set up to 275mm. The wheels are 1.9" with a 90mm tyre. 313mm kits are more like 1/8 scale as a 313mm wheelbase is 3.1 metres ( mitsubishi l200 wheelbase is 3m while a pajero only has a 2.2m wheelbase). Hope this helps.
