This looks like a cool place to visit Ashley! I love that they keep the building basically the same and I love all the trains sitting there. So cool and what a day for Elvis! That a lot to have happen in one day for him. He must have been so excited that day wit all that he was doing. Just to come home and swim in his own pool, see his beloved mother and then play in his town was probably exciting for him. I would love to see some of these places one day, though I doubt I ever will, one can dream can't they?!! Thanks for taking us along Ashley, you are the best!

I remember living in Chattanooga, sometime around 76/77, and I always listened to the same rock station. The disc jockey recounted that Elvis who was traveling with someone, had dropped by the station the prior night. The DJ, said it was surreal, having Elvis who was traveling on a road trip with a friend pop in the station in the middle of the night.

Elvis always seemed to pack so much into his all too short life. Has lunch at train station 270 miles from Memphis, the walks home from Whitehaven, swims and has motorcycle ride, and prepares for a concert that evening.
Action packed day!

This Chattanooga looks like it was at the 50.I think this is from the time period Elvis start to get a really hot star in 1955-1956 and I think he was happyest too !
