Not with that high level of PCB contamination and solder joints quality. As PRO Engineer, I rate this work at a 4 out of 10. This unit will not provide 100% stability or future proof of the DAT0 point tap. Thermal cycles will eventually move the DAT0 adapter which is already slightly offset. Either way I appreciate the effort and give kudos to the dude.
@@krisiluttinen Im gonna tell you the intro again. All the gear and no Idea. I’ve been soldering since November 2023 . Everyone has to start somewhere, unless you came from the womb perfect? I’d appreciate some advice with the criticism, that would actually be helpful. Contamination? Also the date 0 was cut in a way that the line would not sit straight I did try.
Just curious if you know, it looks like the D0 cable was flaking apart around the ~5:00 mark. Is it normal for the ribbon to disintegrate/degrade like that? Possibly from heat? I just put in a Switch Lite modchip by following your Lite video and curious if I will need to come back and revisit it in the future due to the ribbons degrading.
I have never seen this happen before, I think it was falling apart do the Matt attempting to move it and re-secure it down. So i don’t think it’s something you have to worry about. These are standard flex cables so shouldn’t break down under normal conditions. Also glad the video helped, did everything go to plan with your install?
@@QTronics Okay, that's a relief! The install went great! Thank you for putting in all the hard work to produce high quality content that is easy to follow along with. People all over reddit try to scare people off doing this by saying it's super hard to do, but with right tools and patience, it was a cinch. When I first watched the Switch Lite video I started scouring all over trying to find the same combo of ribbon cables you used because it looked so much more neat than the folded cables. Luckily I was able to buy a 7 pack of the L+O Universal parts from the vendor you linked in the comments on that video. Looks like it was just in time because they deleted that item listing now!
@@frickinjon ah awesome, so glad my video helped. These ribbons are so much better. I didn’t know the listing had gone :0. Yeah reddit like to warn you off, long as you take your time and have the right equipment you’re good though
From what ive read you should not use exfat on a switches sdcard as rhe switches os has some iusses in exfat driver which likely causes data corruption
Yh that is true, but I was copying their card over. I normally use fat32. As i was copying their card, I wasnt sure if they had files bigger than 4gb so just kept it at exFat
Ur gonna get big very soon
Thanks, I hope so.

Yeah it’s good to point out. I appreciate it. Was just saying why :)
