    Thank u a lot Mr. Causey u are really a good chemistry teacher. U really helped me get the highest marks in the chemistry exam and I also got a certificate for chemistry because of u only!!!!!!!
    I don't really know what would have been happened if I didn't find u on TH-cam though!!!

    Mr Causey,
    I can recognize and put together Reactions when I know the reactant and Product, but my teacher is giving me the problems that only show the reactant, how do you figure out what the produce iss..?
    for example, "Metal Copper is heated with Sulfuric Acid"
    am I just supposed to know or?
    Thanks

      Try the links in the description for a couple of videos on reactions. I am working on a new series dealing with this very idea.

    There are some general rules dealing with the ions that will form etc. But many times you have to know the products you're looking for. You just have to practice a lot of problems over and over.

    I think my main problem with this topic is knowing how the equations rearrange because sometimes they are pretty complicated!
    For example, AgNO3 + 2NH4OH ------> [Ag(NH3)2]Cl +2H2O
    Is there any trick to working out what rearranges with what?

    Hello, my name is Jordan. I have a Chemistry test on Monday.
    I'm struggling with completing reactions. I understand what each reaction is, but I'm not sure how to apply it to her problems that she has assigned.
    For example, she would give us MnSO4 (aq) + K3(PO)4 (aq) -----> ???
    How am I supposed to recognize the reaction type? And how would I complete the reaction?
    P.S. - You sound exactly like "Milo" from the movie "Atlantis: The Lost Empire" (2001)

    Why at 2:24 for the neutralization of an alkaline did you write HOH instead of water or H2O?

    • @mrcausey
      @mrcausey  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Writing H2O as HOH is more like how water functions (H + OH) in many reactions.

    Dear Sir, do you have some advice for me If I don't know the chemical molecules formules out of my head. I know for example H2SO4.. But I cannot make chemical reactions and equations without knowing them all. What is the best thing to do? Just putting all the chemical molecus possible in my brain? And what if I do know them then. How do I know what is going to form what? Like for example: N2 + H2 -> NH3 ??? If i think logicaly it would be N2H2.. Or another example: Na2O + H2O -> 2NaOH ? Thanks alot
