The looking glass self’ is simply a neat way of saying that identity is socially constructed through interaction with others,
self-perception, reflection, and life experience.
First, we imagine how we must appear to others.
Second, we imagine the judgment of that appearance.
Finally, we develop our self through the judgments of others
