This song would be even more boss with some fresher more original lyrics with a wider vocabulary, concepts, references, metaphors, storytelling etc. There is SO MUCH to explore lyrically about love, relationships, society, issues, people, comedy, spirituality or even Toco in T&T and village life there, etc. etc. Time to evolve beyond the ole same ole "wine"-"smile", "bubble"- "trouble" formulaic writing. We already have Iwer for predictable lyrics. Let us show our range as Trinbagonians and our rich tapestry of human experience in our soca music. Calypso Rose is doing it. Aaron Voice is doing it. Bunji is doing it. We need more talented lyricists doing the same or people will get tired of the content and it will become a trope. Not the riddim or melody...(that will never get stale) but the lyrical content.
