Hey! I play Blasters quite often with Diana, and I agree. This weapon is so easy to punish, not to mention that the moveset is super weird and hard to control, not to mention the countless of weird interactions that it has. Hopefully will be buffed soon
If the scythe user is fishing for dair then maybe, but the opponents weapon doesn’t effect your moves. And just saying if you’re having difficulty hitting opponents with a move, they are playing well against your play style
i would say hammer is one of the hardest weapons aswell, alot of weapons such as scythe, battle boots, sword, gauntlets ect pretty much counter most moves the hammer has excluding moves like gc stomp
@@Tanakibara gs has literal built in deterrent since you can follow every attack move with many attacks that are vary fast, how can someone playing cannon space dlight while being well spaced to punish a whiff, its very hard and id say it forces slower weapons to play passively especially those with less priority then gs (unlike lance for example)
Theres still lots of blasters players who havent been able to perform well because of the weapon's state. Clem in NA is a good example of what Vivi has brought into the blaster's world. A lot of people also stopped playing cross despite cross still being viable in 1's and in 2's. Finally legends like Reno could potentially come to shine if their signatures got a bit touched on. Reno and Vivi are two blasters legends with unorthodox playstyles compared to the rest of blasters characters, nix is also along them too
i guess the one blaster master still standing, Cody Travis, is still competing but obviously not as successful as he once was. at the very least doesn't seem like Cody has given up on blasters, despite their current state
@@Requiem678 that's a great question for the ages. i guess the last time they met in a 1v1 tourney (as far as i can find) was in Autumn Champs 2021, lower bracket. that was in Boomie's Reno era, Cody on the Barraza. went all the way to game 5; Cody stole game 4, Boomie made a huge comeback in game 5. in the end, the Barraza hit harder. later, Cody ended going to grand finals but lost to Sandstorm i'm sure BoomStorm met Cody/Phazon many times after that. it really was glorious to watch the 2 blaster masters at work

I believe blasters can be made more viable if they do something like what they did with Lance, making dlight dair into a consistent true combo at red would be a good start just like they did lance slight dair.
you clearly don’t play it I have 3k hours playing gs other weapons have way easier strings to imput (katars, cannon, spear, axe, bow, guants and rocket lance) probably you mean gs is great doing strings but it really isn’t, you can dash, jump or even attack to scape gs strings unlike other weapons that have confirmed strings you just need to learn the matchup
I think blasters. I haven't played greatsword too much, but most of the time, you can still win with common strings. Blasters, string and combos aren't exactly hard, but I just can't get it working. Also, sair and rec both kills super late, so most of the time, you have to kill with sigs. Since I enjoy playing random, I don't rly have much mastery with sigs, so it feels so hard to play with blasters.
That D-Light nerf to blasters really gutted it. The recovery nerf was annoying but understandable but reducing a hit box when a weapon already has limited hit boxes just made it less viable
I tried this gun out. I got a little better after a couple hours but it's so damm hard to hit people in the air. In my opinion this is by far the hardest gun to play

Past game play was easier than todays gameplay. Cody travis was good but not great. Glazing so hard sounding like a female no logic

This doesnt fit well with all ranks imo. Basic greatsword combo is so free in low ranks and has huge damage. Scythe in low rank can spam buttons and still win (I do this and I suck). But I fully agree on blasters for any rank, there is not a good reason to play blasters ever, every other weapon does what it does but better.
For me scythe is harder than greatsword cause for greatsword you have the skills to read your opponents next move while with the scythe you have to posses the same reading skill while also use a more dynamic weapon with a lot of active inputs and possible strings that are a lot less automatics than the greatsword ones For the blaster even if I'm not so great of a player I have to agree that they're the hardest to master for both the low kill power and the strings you have to be able to do

Definitely canon You see it once every blue moon and it's either the worst player you've ever seen that has no kdea what he's doing or an absolute god that makes every move a true combo because you don't know when to dodge. There's no in between

still didn't see completely the video, but yeah i agree with scythe, i still it is the hardest weapon, bc greatsword maybe if u don't know how to cancel the last attack maybe should be hard, but in high lvl everyone know how to do that, scythe unless u played a few legends (i have every above lvl 20 except munin bc yes) u can't do somethings which a main scythe does. my 2nd maybe should be gauntlets, bc he has a lot of situation and u need to create combos with the stage or softplatform sometimes, has crazy doge reads, options and that, i think it's pretty strong but hard to master but the thing is much players play it bc i think feels a good weapon, when u know how to push and gimp bc u trained a few times with gauntlets it feels good ngl. and maybe the 3rd i don't know what to put in that place, i don't think blasters, but i felt is almost the same as gauntlets but with harders true combos than gauntlets (maybe writing this i notice blasters maybe it's in top 2 and gauntlets top 3 xD) and also kill with more dmg than gauntlets. and my spear, i can't say that weapon is hard bc isn't, even a bronze can do their combos and trues, but in high level i think spear lost in most of the match-ups against other weapons, i even feel blasters kill even earlier than spear (taking this with orion mostly, mirage or gnash doesn't have that feeling with spear), it's a bit slow gameplay with spear which i don't like bc i feel i'm playing passive so i play a bit diff with spear i think, but not too much bc it's a pretty simple weapon with simple attacks and i think it loses a lot of positions for that, no complex weapon except for some exclusive variations with soft platforms or 0 to dead combos (above the stage or below but mostly above) which most of high players can do
I play greatsword. Its pretty braindead if u learn it. Its so easy to play. People make it out to be harder than it is. But hammer is solid but not as difficult as scythe or blasters
