more people should know about this guy....he is a living encyclopedia of american comedy...a tremendous writer...his stuff is available with search... i stumbled onto him some time ago...and can not recommend him any higher....tremendous stuff from kliph......
I have another one for you, Gil and Frank: David Burns did not quite die on stage, but he did suffer a coronary thrombosis after leaving the stage (in "70 Girls, 70," the Kander and Ebb musical starring Mildred Natwick) and died. He'd just performed his big number in the show. Hans Conreid was brought in to replace him.

Yes but, he lets his opinions (political) color and edit his reporting. Amazing knowledge, but keep the salt handy.
