Looks like an interesting beer, I think I have had enough of the passion fruit flavour from hops, it started out as an interesting new taste but it's now in everything that isn't mega swill from the pub. I might borrow the recipe and use it to test different hops... I am old though so it's probably just me haha, I have a traditional Helles and a Helles cross Aussie lager fermenting currently
Yeah for sure I completely get that! Galaxy hops are used in so many craft beers now so that’s defs where that passion fruit vibe is coming from. I still dig it but it can become repetitive. I’d reccomend giving astra, huel melon or Azacca a shot! They each have really cool fruity flavours more on the stone fruit, watermelon, peaches, rock melon and candy / honey type side of things. For this brewday we wanted it to be a pretty straight and true pale ale but for the next pale we make we are gonna lean way more into the lesser used hop varieties. But please let us know how u go adapting our recipe! And let us know how ur helles lager turns out. We should be getting a lager down asap for Oktoberfest season as well!
@@flyingwombattv awesome, I appreciate the suggestions for sure! Will keep you posted on the Aussie as Helles for sure... Definitely need to start planning an Oktoberfest beer too!
