Just to clarify at 26:50, Hinata doesn't have an equivalent to Raphael, the voice that announces the acquisition of her skill is an integral part of this world called Words of the World which announces notable events that happen in the world, like when someone becomes a demon lord, or to inform individuals they've acquired a new skill.
Great Sage/Raphael just copies this voice to be able to talk to Rimuru, no one else has a personal assistant AI like he does.
Yeah, every reacter I've seen assumed that it was another "Great Sage" skill, for some reason. No one ever remembers that Words of The World is a thing.
@@ErisianRomantic Yeah, basically, you have a "narrator in a game" type of thing, where it basically gives you instructions what to do. It just so happened that Rimuru evolved and so as his "narrator".

Luminus is a vampire, which could be called a demon, I suppose.
Demon Lord- title of power proven through inate skills, violence, economic or political power, inheritance(if you kill a Demon Lord, you get the title), etc.
True Demon Lord- one who has evolved into a new race, confirming the appropriate consuming of the necessary spiritual/life energy(hence the ±10,000 souls sacrifice), becoming a heightened being which is super damned rare in that world.
Granbell was the redhead dude, by possession, so his astral body was forced back once Nicholaus destroyed that Luminary, Gran the Priest of the Sun(not The Sunday Priest, like the stupid subs name him).
Luminus just has heterochromia, a genetic rarity where someone just has two different coloured eyes.
This. This is the comment that explains everything the anime does a poor job of explaining.
Also, a Daemon (which is still pronounced demon) Lord is a change the anime decided to make. Diablo, at this point is a Demon Peer which is a high ranking demon (higher than an Arch Demon) based on his experience and evolution due to being named by Rimuru. Demon Peers are basically the same level, if not stronger than most demon lords in title only. True Demon Lords, are a different story entirely.
It shouldn't have been a surprise for Rimuru that Demons Lords can use holy magic.
Well technically, Shuna and Adalman arent Demon Lords but they're just the same as Luminus who is on the Monster category.
Shuna explained to Adalman that miracles answers to those who believes and wish for them, hence her being able to use holy magic/divine miracle. Besides if I'm not mistaken, the Secret Art: Spirit Resurrection which Rimuru used to revive Shion and the other's could be categorized as holy spell.
Just because Shuana knows something. Don't automatically assume that Rimiru knows it. Rimiru is constantly suprised by things his subordinates do. Raphael would know but he loves keeping things from Rimiru.
26:56 that's not Raphael... those are Words of The World... the same words that gave voice even before The Great Sage was 'born'. also when Rimuru evolved into demon lord it was Words of The World that notified all rimuru's subjects will also evolved ... its confusing because in the anime the voice of great sage/raphael and words of the world sound the same
Fyi, the Voice that Hinata heard when she gained her skills is not raphael, its "The voice of the World", which is kinda like the world admin, and kinda occasionally interacts with people and monster in the world.
Raphael kinda takes over that role for Rimuru and friends but its more of an announcer whereas "voice of the world" states things that are occuring/occured, like gaining a skill, etc.
When someone summoned or teleported or even reincarnated like rimuru in tensura world the moment that process happens those who have strong will or even desire that comes to mind, that time the tensura world voice would given skills for their appropriate wishes they had... Each of them will hear the same voice it called the world voice
Though when rimuru's wise one Eveloved as Raphael it takes the voice sounds like the world voice if rimuru wanted it can change it's voice whatever he likes ( i think 😅)

34:45 Diablo is a "Demon Peer." The subtitles saying "Daemon Lord" is really, really insufferable, confusing nearly every anime-only in existence. A Demon Peer is a nigh unheard of evolution of demons, meaning if Diablo had wanted, after Rimiru named him, Diablo would not have needed to do much to become a True Demon Lord. Though, Diablo would hate that, if he couldn't be beside Slimy Boi to see what he turns that world into.
Because Daemon Lord is how it appears in the Japanese text. The term Demon Peer only came when it was translated in the English translation of the light novel. When you read it in Japanese, it was a Daemon Lord. They follow the JP light novel in terms of terminologies. You can even see it in the machine translated copies of fan translators. Only in the proper light novel EN does the term "Demon Peer" appear.

Note: Absolute Guard is usually called Absolute Defense in translations due to using the kanji (絶対防御) so I’m impressed the anime translated アブソリュートガード , the Furigana, correctly. I was impressed the anime used the proper translation.

Diablo is so good at grandstanding and coercion in order to manipulate people even without his Unique Skill Tempter.

The anime greatly simplified Diablo’s killing of the Luminaries. First he brought them into his “Temptation World”, then he used “Despair Time” to make the illusion real and finally he used “End of World” to collapse the “Temptation World” in on itself in order to kill the Luminaries.

Finally, they put Hinata’s backstory pre-dimensional travel in. Now I feel bad for telling people it since I had long given up on them showing it in the anime since I had forgotten that the manga did it at this point. They left a few things out though. Put in chronological order:
Hinata's father was a gambling addict. Eventually, her father racked up a massive debt from gambling on horse races when Hinata was a child, which made Hinata decide to murder him for life insurance. Hinata's mother suffered an emotional breakdown upon witnessing this murder by her daughter's hand and gotten into religion, causing Hinata to plan to kill her as well and thus orphan herself. Just before that could happen, on her first day of high school, she was whisked away by a "strong gale" to the Central World when she was just 15 years old.
Upon arrival, she was attacked by three bandits. She ended up gaining two Unique skills, Usurper and Preserver, and managed to kill the three bandits. Not long after her arrival in the new world, Shizue Izawa took her in as a disciple. Hinata claims that Shizue was the only person who had been kind to her during her early years in the new world. Within a month, Hinata had surpassed Shizue in strength after copying multiple of her skills using Usurper. Fearing her own attachment, Hinata went on her own way and eventually became the most powerful knight in the Holy Empire Lubelius leading both Crusaders and Rook Geniuses, as well as becoming the Leader of the "Ten Great Saints".
At one point she discovered that the Western Holy Church was under the control of vampires and was conspiring with Demon Lord Valentin. She defeated both Roy and Louis, suffering fatal injuries during the process. However, she was then confronted by the real Demon Lord, Luminous Valentine herself, who promptly revived both her fallen subordinates and Hinata herself. After some negotiations, Hinata passed the trial of Seven Luminaries and earned the rights to challenge Luminous, but was promptly defeated. Hinata then agreed to become Luminous' subordinate as she deemed the Demon Lord's governing methods to be acceptable in the long run. Nonetheless she keeps honing her abilities in case she ever needs to fight the Vampire Princess again.

Note: When I called Hinata’s Unique Skill Mathematician last episode I thought they were going to use the Kanji (数学者 (Mathematician)) instead of the Furigana (カワラヌモノ (Preserver)) but I have been pleasantly surprised again this episode.

The Seven Luminaries were just pawns of Luminary of the Sun, Gran or rather they were pawns of Granbell Rosso, head of the Rosso Family and the Five Great Elders. Gran was just Granbell's homunculus.

It's not really important and was basically the same plot as the film. Only the tease of important future characters. Which they've mostly revealed except for Juan.

In defense of the Daemon Hunters, they do have experience fighting the White Daemons, even Arch Daemons, of Blanc. They just weren't expecting to be up against a Daemon Lord who is also the Black Primordial.

Subtitle Error: Demon Lord Factor should be Demon Lord Seed. Factor is the spiritual equivalent of DNA and has nothing to do with the Seed. The Seed is the proof that a monster is qualified to undergo the Harvest Festival and Awaken as a True Demon Lord.

Based on the name of Saare's unique grade sword, Demon Slayer, I'm going to assume that it's enchanted similar to the Dragon Buster sword (which was enchanted to be super effective against the Dragon factor) and is meant to be super effective against the Demon factor or the Demonic attribute. I don't know for sure since I can't find anything on Saare's sword.

Note: In the light novels Glenda wasn't seen running away. In fact, it was specifically noted that one moment she was there and the next she was gone. I don't like that the anime changed this since it's meant to foreshadow something.

Ranga screwing with Grigori that way is hilarious but it also highlights a weakness of making oneself's durability so high without a way to actually immobilize oneself completely. It leaves you vulnerable to humiliation and of course Grigori still feels the pain.
Daemon lord is also Demon Peer....badly translated.

There are two types of demon lord first one is demon lord and second one is true demon lord (rimuru, guy and millim ).
Luminus and Ramiris are also true demon lords

I don't know why the anime skips a semi important piece of dialogue. The grudge between Luminous and Veldora goes back to ancient times. Since Rimuru wants a peace treaty with Luminous he makes a deal with her. She gets to kick his ass and Veldora won't resist if she agrees to bury their hatchet.
I mean they have mentioned how much she hates Veldora for destroying her city.

It's a shame that the scene when Lord Valentine and Hinata first entered the onsen was not shown (only a glimpse at the ending of Eps 10), Lord Valentine was very enthusiastic the first time he bathed with Hinata, and Hinata looked embarrassed, even though it was quite funny and fan service is actually quite important for the audience.
But this time for tensura 🎉🎉
And skipping over the bonding in the banquet was a mistake too. And putting it in the credits...was not the best idea either.
Yet it fine, cause just man people who read have more and we get the jist just seeing the scene play out
yeah its a shame they resort to this kind of stuff all thanks to some fans who is in a rush but oh well its nice we can still read/see it in other source materials while anime watcher be shown the minimum content that they wanted right
For those who desire conflict, dramas, fights, and conclusions during this series, I suggest you stop watching the anime. Because there won't be much of it. The anime is based off of the manga (not the novels), and in the latest chapters, it's solely focused on the founder's festival that they are currently preparing for in the anime. No faceoffs, no dramas, no conclusions. Just world building and politics mostly. The 2nd half will introduce the Emperor of Eren's country so expect more diplomatic meetings. It's even less likely to see the conclusion of the beef of Rimuru with the Rozzo family this season.
We still get very important stuff this season....Lightspeed...and the Labyrinth.
@@wkadalie I actually agree with you on that. There are many important things that would be introduced that are vital to the story. I'm saying this for those who talks trash about this season. It was already set that the pacing of Tensura is slow, as it highlights world building. I mean, it took 2 whole seasons to kill off Clayman, a weakling.
