Matt preached with boldness and lack of fear of what men may think of him.

Praise God for how He has used Matt Chandler. Through him God has saved so many souls, including mine. God used the Village Church and Matt to bring me back to Him and save my soul. I pray God will continue to use this man and his church to bring glory to His Kingdom.

He's great. Doesn't really pander, doesn't chase after popularity. He opens the Bible and hits both the light stuff and the heavy stuff.

Wow, amen and amen. This was a Holy Spirit empowered sermon. Matt Chandler was merely a faithful submitted vessel. Thank you for posting this. I am sharing this with friends and loved ones.

when you choose to sin you give life to something that is DEAD. As Jesus died so did you, as Jesus has risen so have YOU! Can you sin...sure....do you have to? NO. You have the mind of Christ. You must know who you are in Christ. Read Romans 6 and see what is dead and what is alive. --shalom

It's always interesting to read comments of fellow believers- some which I agree with, others which I don't; a challenge to each of you would be to examine the power of sin vs. the presence of sin in the life of a believer. Part of justification is that we are made clean- the law which points out sin- (how would we know coveting is wrong for example if scripture didn't say so)- since the wages of sin is death- it's important to remember that Christ justified us when he became sin and died and rose again- He made us clean for those who trust Christ for salvation. He conquered the power of sin over the believer by dying and rising again-beating death. The Spirit which raised christ also lives in the believer. Evidence of a true follower is to be made more like Christ by letting the Holy Spirit continually cleanse us through conviction of sin- living a life turning to God not continuing to willfully sin(meaning we regularly realize we are not saved by our works but by Grace). So we do fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities and dark powers of this world. There is still the presence of sin in the believer but it no longer has the final say- because of Christ we can put to death the deeds of the flesh-which God calls us to if we are truly sons of God (Romans 8). The best part is that sin will finally die once we are united with Christ and glorified with him.

SALVATION for the unbeliever/sinner for today (the dispensation of the grace of God Almighty) in the Pure, All Truth, and All Authority…KING JAMES BIBLE: Romans 3:24, 25, 26, Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
The 1st four chapters of Romans which lead a loss person to justification before the eyes of God Almighty.
To them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, You Have Four Things to look forward too: INDIGNATION, TRIBULATION, ANGUISH, and WRATH upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile. (Romans 2:8,9,).

Jeff Hues- if perfectionism is unbiblical heresy why did Jesus say in the sermon on the mount "therefor be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect" so how is perfection un biblical. Scripture also says " i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Yes we have the ability to sin in the future after the second birth and we have an advocate if this happens. But we must not sin willfully. For we know the good we ought to do and he who doesnt do it it is sin.
