I love regular Groudon, even though I will admit that Primal Groudon and its shiny looks beautiful. The design and lore about Groudon just sounds so amazing and terrifying \m/
Shiny Groudon using perish song was a genius play as with the heart swap primal used against it, it got -1 speed from the toxic thread earlier on in the battle. That would mean if it survived until perish song ended, it would have been the last one on the field making the groudon team win.

I'm 1000% going for Primal Groudon, it's large, epic, and it's shiny is amazing. Omega Ruby was also my third poker on game ever so yeah, I even nicknamed my fish Primal after the primals.

Groudon is my favorite legendary, but that Primal form is brutal! Gotta say, though, while it's ability is fun to have, it wasn't so fun to fight the first time with a Vaporeon with all water type attacks...

@@jayhood3227 That is how it works, they didn't die at the same time. Think about weather. You want your P-Groudon to be slightly slower than P-Kyogre. This will cause Kyogre to to set Rain but then, since Groudon was slower, it will set Sun. You can argue "But Speed Tie meant it was a tie". That argument isn't valid. In competitive play, base Groudon won.

Well, that was an intense fight. As nostalgic as the original Kyogre and Groudon are, since Gen 3 was my first generation playing, I prefer using the Primal Reversions (and their Shiny forms look so much better).
i like both of these forms well theres only one left in the trio and thats Rayquaza so i hope to see that next

Has anyone noticed that over half of the pokemon in these battles can't learn metronome. So that means he has been using hacled pokemon
Primal Groudon is downright cool and badass. It should be brought to pokemon go and require a special item to turn from groudon to primal groudon

I think because kyorge had been better for so long gamefreak overcompensated a bit with primal groudon he should be hit by water attacks but perhaps just neutrally to give him a fighting chance....

Primal is better now for the same reason Kyogre's primal is better: they actually make me believe the backstory that pokemon gives them.

With regular groudon drought ability it can take care of all three of its weakness with only 2 moves flamethrower to take care of the grass and ice weakness and solarbeam for the water weakness the primal groudon can take care of its ground weakness with a solarbeam so if you dont outspeed it its over for you love the shiny primal

I kinda think the Metronome battle should have been a tie imo, or gone to the team that set up the perish song because they didn't die to a direct attack.
Well if it goes to the team that set up the perish song regulars still win the non-shiny Groudon did that move.

why? all they did was make the black markings expand and fill with lava, make his underside and spikes black and make him a bit bigger. the differences are quite minuscule. if you wanted an overdesigned pokemon look at mega steelix or the kyurem forms
