In the game, Foxy's singing is to add more ambient to the game and to make it harder when tracking Freddy down on the cameras. In the movie however, it adds suspense to this attack, not knowing when until he does.
Honestly, I prefer the new one. Don’t get me wrong, I love the classic a lot, and it can be pretty scary sometimes, but the new one just makes it better. It gives me chills every time I hear it, and the ending where he just stops is really creepy

I’d say the presence of Foxy’s movie song carries makes it better as to he does that every time he runs at someone (for example Carl and kills him in the process). Although the game version is a bit creepy too, it’s just kind of random compared to the movie

I love the original because it’s one of those uncanny touches that raises questions, it didn’t seem like it was trying to sound scary but kinda is anyway.
The game one sounds scary because it's all sudden and loud when you hear but the movie one sounds scarier (in my opinion) because it's quiet and humming at first then start getting loud which means Foxy is coming for you. 😳

The movie version sounds more Sea Shanty-esque than the game because of the varying notes. It’s so satisfying.
