However much of Morissette you think you have seen ,there's a massive amount more many haven't. I have championed Reactors to do some older videos here and there for this reason ,particularly her performances after the Voice from ages 17 to about 20. There's some hidden gems in there ,including a fantastic cover of Bruno Mars "Grenade" almost 6 years ago. More recently , if you follow her ,you would have seen a clip from her digital concert that had a whole Bruno Mars segment. That was January 2022. She also covered songs by him on her lives. In a nutshell she has been vocal about him in interviews. Her fans are well aware to the answer of the question that almost always gets asked of her "If you could collab with anyone who would it be" is Bruno Mars. In fact she was interviewed by a Entertainer here in the US (she actually used to dance for Prince at one point) and that interviewer got wind that she had the dream of collabing with him, she was actively trying to connect the two. Ya learn something everyday I guess. 😊
Speaking of early material, I don't know how many people are aware of her English pop albums from 2009/2010, called "Morissette at 14", vol 1 and vol 2. Although youthful, they are really quite good, especially vol 2. Her talent was already obvious and could have easily rivaled anything coming out of American pop music. I don't know since when but for her and her team to produce this stellar performance only shows how she adores him and his music! We can also see how she really enjoyed doing this, oozing with energy and confidence! Did you know that this video was released on October 8 which happens to be Bruno Mars' birthday! According to Dave (yes, he was the man behind the camera), it was all a coincidence, because when they set the premiere of this video they didn't know it was to be on the actual day of Bruno Mars birthday. By the way, he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Puerto Rican father and Filipina mother! Shout out to the 3rd Avenue band as well! They did amazingly on this performance, with the incredible arrangement done by Adonis Tabanda, musical director and on the bass guitar. The transitions between these 15 songs are so smooth and seamless, that for a person who is not familiar with Bruno Mars' hit songs, he may think that this is just one piece! Oh, by the way, did you know that the whole team took only two takes for this whole session (an extra shoot for safety), according to Lawrence Nolan, the drummer. Perhaps because they, Mori, Adonis and 3rd Avenue, have been working for many years already (that's why Adonis is already a familiar face to us in many of Mori's live performances), so they already know each other too well, and they are all professionals, so there was no need for many takes and cuts and so on. Lawrence said it was all about preparation, Mori came in to the shoot prepared and ready to bring her A-game, like she always does! ❤

Mori can control her voice well up to perfection. From low notes up to the highest, from base up to closer to sopranos including the head voice with her voice control in perfection. I’ve observed her well. The reason I’m also her follower as she can sing broadways which is my forte type of songs. I saw her voice quality. There’s still a possibility Bruno Mars with Mori can blend as Mori can adjust her voice to any singers. It’s up to the writer/ composer to prepare the song. Mori's musical arranger is the great (I called him ATM Machine = Adonis Tabanda Music)! He does the magic in the past with Morissette till now. Bruno Mars is one of her idols because talented people of her caliber seemed to gravitate towards people like those. The same way she idolizes Regine or Cynthia Erivo. It comes with the territory. As to the question of can she match the energy of Bruno Mars on stage...hmm, can Bruno Mars does dance numbers continuously while belting out songs after songs on his concert? I don't know, but she does! First time I saw her she removed all 3 metal notes stand and put it on the side (they're very heavy) because it blocks her way to her fans. We left after the concert close to 2am and she's still signing autographs. Btw, she just landed but has to go to 2 Meet & Greets (she slept in the van, jet lagged)! But I'm sure Bruno Mars doesn't have to do that now. He did a good job as young Elvis in Honeymoon In Vegas after all.
