I can see the patience, love and respect you have for this beautiful animal. I am sure she feels the same way. Lindsay, you have a gift. Use your gift to help others who don't understand. The world needs more people like you.
I had tears in my eyes too, just beautiful! The song so matches too. Ever so grateful to Pat Parelli for opening his heart and mind and sharing with us.
You are a lovely trainer and your horse is beautiful and looks very happy. You do a wonderful job breaking things down into manageable pieces for her. Wonderful to watch.
Awesome video, but more important, great job with this horse. My heart always wants the wild horses to stay free, but it's people like you that give horses hope in our world!!
Love how bonded and trusting she was by Day 7...she LOVES her human girl, that's for sure :) We started a quarter horse filly using Parelli just over a year ago...never handled before we got her and couldn't touch her when she came to us, now we can't get her out of our space! lol, we just finished a Parelli clinic a few weeks ago and my daughter was given oodles of advice on how to make sure she maintains some distance...she gets a little too on top of us. This CAN be a beautiful process, just need lots of patience and take the time it takes, so it takes less time :)
that's exactly what i want to do...i'm going to adopt a couple of yearlings from the blm from the same herd and put them in a boarding facility with 24/7 herd life since i don't have a corral and pen like you! you're so lucky. i've just recently heard about this "parelli natural horsemanship" and it looks awesome. you're so gentle with her and she's a love. god bless!
Your horse is incredibly beautiful and what you achieved is stunnning! It is so motivating to watch the video and it brought some tiny little tears of joy into my eyes! Go on!
Wow- incredible job! I love a mustang that you can have conversations with and who offer their own opinions:-) I'm so glad this horse is in your life. Enjoy your journey together, you never know who will get more out of it.
I SO enjoyed this, I owned a mustang mare for 21 years....best horse I ever owned....once they trust you they are yours, you can ask them to do anything ( safe) and they will...always went the extra mile for me....I miss my Chica Marie.... love this mare's coloring...so different.....
521LakeStreet I agree the best horse i ever had was a mustang. After they trust you they will do anything for you. Sometimes even knowing what you want them to do before you even get the chance to ask them
@@rainglow4481 there are plenty of wild horses. They're actually reproducing faster than the land can maintain and the BLM is paying people as incentive to adopt and try to reduce the numbers. Saying there are no wild horses left is absolute misinformation and has nothing to do with the original comment posted.
Aww that made me tear up :') That is so amazing. What a beautiful mare. She looked so good on day 79 wow awesome! and within just 90 days, being able to load her in a trailer? I applaud you! Great job!!
Great job with her! I have work on the 90 day Mustang training before and I can say from experience it is not easy. The latest one I had work was a Wyoming Mustang she was pregnant but she came along way she is now a trail horse and her foal is a painted up little boy. ( She was a Black. )
A bit late on the comment, but, I felt I had to say, one of the best I have seen. That beautiful horse grew to trust you without question, which means you are an amazing and patient horse trainer if the highest class. Well done.
It doesn't matter who's program you used, you did the work and should be proud of yourself. Just because I have a hammer doesn't make me a good carpenter. Great job.
Well done Lindsey! That is the process that I like best and it is the one I use. I would only like to point out the fact that, you can do all those same steps on day one, which is useful to know, specially when you start off with a 3 year old and therefore you want to be able to go out riding asap.
Me and my family are going to move onto 100+ acres in the next 2 years! I'm excited because I will finally be able to get a horse; I want to train a mustang! My parents are going to let me! I'm sooo excited!
The thumbs-down bunch would be the idiots who think these horses are better off running loose. They think it's a sin to round them up and make them into what they actually are - domestic horses - rather than just feral horses.
It is just a yearling. You can put a light saddle on them to get them exposed to it, but they haven't finished growing enough to take weight. So much else you can work on in the meantime, like she is doing, so that when ready to ride, the horse accepts it as just another thing.
Do you have any advice on training wild ponies? Right now I have 5 Polish horses(konik polski), I have gotten to a stage where they come to me and take a treat, but they wont allow me to touch them for around 2 months now, I can only put my hand or finger on theirs nose and they kinda allow that but nothing more. I should have a smaller paddock for that to work better right? And do you have any tiny tips for that?
LollipopLpets a round pen would help greatly. Round pen work is essential for the beginning starting process- or at the very least, it makes things much easier.
having a second horse while another horse- who may be very new to the handling by people- could really serve to be a calming and learning thing. My horses truly seem to learn by the started and trusting horse that what I am asking of them, is okay- because they see the mature horse calm and accepting and trusting. Remember, they are herd animals- and if you aren't part of their herd at first, another horse could help to show a human is n ot to be feared. (actually- some humans should be feared- but the horse will learn quickly who to trust and who not to)
Would you recommend getting a mustang for a 'project' horse for a teen? I have a horse that would jump off a bridge if I told him to, and I want something challenging.
Yes, Lindsey still owns Breezy. Breezy is now four years old. She loves people and sees everything in a positive light. Lindsey has started her under saddle in the last year and continues to work on her development. :)
Omg ❤️ you doing a great jon so calm so sweet
This is probably the most inspiring video I’ve ever watched.
I can see the patience, love and respect you have for this beautiful animal. I am sure she feels the same way. Lindsay, you have a gift. Use your gift to help others who don't understand. The world needs more people like you.
Absolute amazing job. This is how you train a horse. You can feel the connection yall have and that is a thing of beauty.
Wonderful to watch.
total relaxation and understanding of the horse by the trainer! Great job!
Very nice. You have very good horsemanship skills. Good timing, rhythm, and feel.
I love how you are with your mare. So natural, sweet and gentle.
Wonderful job! There are no substitutes for time, love, and training talent.

Day 3 made my eyes tear up

It's kinda sad, there are not many Wild Horses left anymore and we still want to capture and tame even the rest of them. Wtf.

Fabulous! She is gorgeous!

Great stuff Lindsey!!! It looks like you have the natural touch. Stay with it, you will be amazed at what you will acheive.
Great job with her! I have work on the 90 day Mustang training before and I can say from experience it is not easy. The latest one I had work was a Wyoming Mustang she was pregnant but she came along way she is now a trail horse and her foal is a painted up little boy. ( She was a Black. )
Nice video. The song was perfect.
I pray you kept this one for yourself. It is amazing to watch it grow and trust you. You look good together.

Absolutely wonderful to see you combining positive reinforcement with NH. Hope it makes more people look closely at the marvels of clicker training.
Beautiful - touching beyond belief!
Awesome video .... starting with my first mustang this Friday.... your video is an inspiration!
Brilliantly done!
You are doing a wonderful job!
Fantastic. Congratulations.
Nice work. Well done.
It doesn't matter who's program you used, you did the work and should be proud of yourself. Just because I have a hammer doesn't make me a good carpenter. Great job.
Truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing

I want to adopt a mustang so bad! I love this video!
Well done Lindsey! That is the process that I like best and it is the one I use. I would only like to point out the fact that, you can do all those same steps on day one, which is useful to know, specially when you start off with a 3 year old and therefore you want to be able to go out riding asap.

Very pretty Mustang. 😚😍
This video just made me so happy I cried :'-)
hmmmmmmm. after watching this video....I really cannot understand why 12 people would click the don't like button. Really.
The thumbs-down bunch would be the idiots who think these horses are better off running loose. They think it's a sin to round them up and make them into what they actually are - domestic horses - rather than just feral horses.
2:34 "oh my god it's so much nicer than anything to have a human for yourself!"
Great job, some good horsemanship, it must give you a buzz.

LollipopLpets i agree with the round pen and maybe work with one at a time?

That is one beautiful mustang. Does anyone know what fur colour that is called on a horse?
+Ania Chudzinska Palomino
I don't think that's it. The mane seems to match the coat and it's darker around the face and legs... Thank you for trying to help, though. c:
+Ania Chudzinska Then look up Sorrel
+Ania Chudzinska the color is red dun because of the dorsal stripe on her back :)
I think that's the closest to it. Thank you for the help!
She is so beautiful!
How is the horse doing now? Is she still owning her, riding her? :)
Yes, Lindsey still owns Breezy. Breezy is now four years old. She loves people and sees everything in a positive light. Lindsey has started her under saddle in the last year and continues to work on her development. :)
wow
wow 😍
Beautifull
want a mustang I can train on my own but im in tennessee :/
thats wonderfull
Wonderul!!!
what is the age ?
By the change of fur, this one is a 2 year old colt. To start training, the best age for most breeds is 3 years.
At 2:20 She looks like a Arabian! lots of tail carriage!
And good job too
beautifull..
i lost my horse cool man and he died in may and i got a horse and her namw is lona and she is nice but there always be a space in my heart cool ma

There are so many horses to be adopted, waiting for you, to make their live happier. Do not capture new ones. Please. Let them live free.
Inez
