    This makes me nostalgic for regular campus life... Also great shots and editing, especially the drone bit!

    Which threads did you choose? And how stressful is it?

    • @KyleKeirstead
      @KyleKeirstead  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I go more in-depth on the topic/curriculum in some of my other videos, but I chose devices and intelligence. It definitely is very stressful at Tech; the workload is intense and the classes are challenging. But in my experience the culture isn't cut-throat, and having a great group of friends really helps. Thanks for watching!

    Do you recommend staying on E or W campus as a freshman??

      West campus! I stayed in Montag and loved it there. There'll be a video coming soon that talks about it more :)

      Thanks! I have a bunch of videos on the channel talking about Georgia Tech (and CS at Georgia Tech), so that would be a good place to start!

    Can you make a video on the best CS clubs to join on campus?

    • @KyleKeirstead
      @KyleKeirstead  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not sure whether I'm qualified to make that video haha. I have some experience with three different clubs (iOS Club, The Agency, and RoboJackets). iOS Club introduces you to developing on iOS devices using Swift and starts from the very beginning; for people with more experience there's an Advanced Lab option. The Agency is a club focused on AI/ML; I originally joined to work on their Buzzmobile program (autonomous version of the Ramblin' Reck) before it was shut down. I finally moved to RoboJackets to work on their IGVC team (another autonomous vehicle). I joined late and didn't have a lot of experience, so I didn't do much work on the autonomous parts of the project, but I got to work on the simulator and learned quite a bit about autonomy. Obviously, all three of these groups are quite different, and there's a lot of other options, so I definitely feel that there's a club for all CS majors at GT.

    Idk if you’ll see this but..
    You don’t work? Personally I don’t want to work while studying in college. Let’s say I was in Georgia tech. Will they make me get a job since I can’t be able to pay their tuition? I’m planning on wanting to pay the college back after I graduate (if that’s even possible).

    • @KyleKeirstead
      @KyleKeirstead  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope I don't work during the semesters (I've held internships every summer though). I believe part of the financial aid package can be to work an on-campus job, but GT doesn't force anyone to work to my knowledge (you can take out loans). There definitely are a bunch of people working on campus, and there are quite a few different types of jobs, so if you changed your mind you could potentially find something that suited your interests/availability!

      @@KyleKeirstead so you’re saying you’re in debt but the GT is helping you so you don’t have to work and study at the same time. I just wanna work like in summers because I want to concentrate on my studies and not tire out you know?

    Are there any good priced apartments in the area?

    • @KyleKeirstead
      @KyleKeirstead  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm probably the wrong person to ask that question since I've always lived on-campus, but I know that there's a lot of apartments just off campus that are quite popular (and from what I'm told, priced reasonably, though you typically have to pay for a whole year). I'm not endorsing any of these since I don't have experience with them, but a few options nearby are The Standard, Square on Fifth, and Theory. If anyone else has experience with off-campus housing they can feel free to hop on this thread and add their opinions to help anyone else with this question.
