Carlotta in this episode and Mirabelle (Waldo's mother) in the Salem episode were both "guest" witches that had a wonderful way of popping out
In an interview with Bill Asher, before his death, he was asked about casting BEWITCHED. He said that he did the casting of the show, but it was Elizabeth Montgomery who ran into Agnes Moorehead and asked her if she'd like to work on this new show called BEWITCHED. Elizabeth and Bill Asher also liked Paul Lynde and wanted him on the series. This series had a great cast.
Mercedes McCambridge, the voice of the Devil in the Exorcist. All of these great actors that got a bit on telly thanks to Elizabeth Montgomery and we got some Great Telly. !!

Yeps..I've noticed the more powerful witches like Endora and Carlotta utilize flamboyant over the head arm gestures when they pop out ! Even the arm gestures are unique when they start zapping or casting spells.
Sad story about Mercedes her son extorted money using her name she did manage to clear herself of any charges but her son needed money to pay off the company he extorted from he went to Mercedes to ask for money to help him pay it off She said she would not help. He went home murdered his wife and children then himself and left a terrible written message blaming his mother Mercedes. How awful is that

Carlotta!!... We have to remember, Samanatha is a pedigree of witchdom, and she has decided to be an advocate for mortals which is why she is endearing.
Mercedes was in James Dean's last movie Giant,then the devil's voice in The Exorcist,and finally in Airport 79 The Concorde.
Mercedes was also in an episode of Charlie's angels "angels in springtime"
