I think Lucie is doing a better job of promoting Sri Lanka than our tourism ministry😊 Both Lahiru and you are great human beings, with compassion towards animals. Wish you both a fantastic life together in sunny Sri Lanka.
She does. She got me convinced to visit the country and it didn't disappoint. The landscape, the culture, and the warmth of the people are truly remarkable!
19:57 Thank you for bringing your own bag and not using plastic! I always bring my own glass containers to restaurants and it makes me so happy when I see other people reducing their plastic usage as well. If we can get more people to do it, we can make such a big difference for the health of the environment. I’m deeply concerned about the microplastics issue.
Congratulations Luci. You are a one in a million people who change peoples lives. Lahiru is such a lucky boy to have met you. I love the way the 2 of you work hard to have achieved everything you have put together from house to garden to poultry and the way you love taking care of the animals. The two of you were destined to be together. Thank you for changing Lahirus life for the better. I pray you both will continue loving each other, be strong , supportive to each other for the rest of your life. ❤
Watching you from Melbourne. I am Sri Lankan. I love Sri Lanka too. You are such a wonderful and courageous girl with a great love for nature. All the Best to you and Ru. Love you both ❤❤❤❤
Lucie, As someone who lived in london for about 8 years I decided to come back to Sri Lanka, my home. Before going there I thought the grass was greener over there in England but in reality its not. There is a crime epademic over there especially in London. There is no housing. Everyone is trapped in tiny rooms and the weather is bloody cold and raining most of the time. Everything is soo damn expensive too and for students its really hard to cope. Coming back to Sri Lanka is the best decision I have ever made.
It's really great to here you're point of view when so many people are wanting to leave Sri Lanka permanently but have no idea how it is to live in other countries, there are pros and cons to every place i guess, but happiness is the ultimate goal ❤️
Hello Lucie and Lahiru I write to you every time I watch a video because your life in Sri Lanka is so similar to mine. 3 years for me. I also try to grow seeds and plants. As for the dogs, I feed them in the morning. I also love Galle.
I'm sri lankan living in London and thinking of coming and settling in sri lanka for good. Always watch your clips. Bit jealous. 😂. Keep up the good vibes and positivity. Good luck to both of you. Love❤
I get this comment so many times, with people who have moved away and want to come back! I LOVE it here, and think it's wonderful, every country has it's downsides.. pop out here for a holiday or two and then decide 🙂
Hello Lucy and Lahiru, Thank you so much for another fantastic video. More I watch your videos more I begin to appreciate what you guys are doing with your day-to-day life. I was born in Sri Lanka. But I am an Australian citizen living here permanently. Australia is my home now. I have everything I need to live a very comfy life, but I am not enjoying my life. When I see your videos, I realise how happy you guys are. Simple lifestyle and hard work are the key to a happy, long life. You guys are definitely living your dream. I am so happy for you. BTW, you both are made for each other. Match made in heavens. You work amazingly well as a team. I am sure you are an inspiration to so many married couples around the world.
Little suggestion: install a compost bin in your garden. And dispose all your organic waste into it. You will have good organic fertilizer in 3 months.
Hi when your videos play its amazing to hear the variety of the exotic bird sounds in the background. Is it natural ? You are now part of us and we congratulate you on your 4th year.
Yes!! We have so many different birds in our area, it's amazing!! So many different sounds, sitting in the garden with a coffee in the morning listening to the peacefulness but with the chatter of birds is one of my fav parts of the day 😃
Great video Lucie. See I told you all those years ago when we met at Vegfest in London with E&B that Sri Lanka was my favourite country that I had ever visited. I was right wasn't I 😅
@@whereslucie - Would love to. Who knows maybe I will but I'm hoping to move back to Ireland this year and still have not had Catherine's inquest yet even though she died in May 2021. Thank you Lucie for these interesting and honest answers with a great retrospective and a gorgeous present time. So glad you found the right balance, step by step !!. Congratulations to you both for your incredible journey 👍👍❤
Hi Luce! About speaking Sinhala. A whole lot of people with many linguistic/ethnic backgrounds speak Sinhala just like they do with English. So there are a lot of accents and even dialects of Sinhala, just like with English. What I am trying to say is that you need not be afraid of trying to speak Sinhala because it has become linguistically diverse and we are tolerant of mistakes, unlike say, the French 😂. The most that would happen is someone might take the mickey out of your accent, but all in good fun.
Love to hear everything from you for past years.. I’m here in UAE from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 Wish you and Lahiru all the best in your future in Sri Lanka. Be strong,be safe, stay healthy. ❤🎉😊..

Is Lahiru's visa to UK guaranteed now that you are both married? Can remember last year what a nightmare you went through and eventually it was declined. Hope that one day Lahiru will experience a snowy freezing cold Christmas in England.
