    I’m on Luvox and it’s helped with the OCD but it’s made my anxiety much worse. I have GAD too. I’m moodier, and quick to anger I’ve noticed. It’s working for one thing but making other things worse. It’s truly exhausting trying to find the right medication

      Hey Laura 👋 Hope you’ve found the right help/medication . I’m on my first ssri (Prozac) And so far, so bad.. i feel like I’m worse off ever since I started with this medication. I can’t help feeling that ssri or snri aren’t going to work on me. I aware it’s only been 3 months since you commented here, but I would love to hear how things have been working out for you and if you had any recent success 🙏

    I tried all ssri's and anti psychotics and mood stabilizers gabapentin they were all really traumatic and make everything worse they make you feel dead inside like you forget how to feel happy its horrible gabapentin put me in a tremendous anxiety state of mind I would be having racing thoughts and extreme amounts of energy made impossible to fall asleep without feeling fear

    • @MrTaib-kj4ib
      @MrTaib-kj4ib ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That’s strange, Gabapentin is a depressant and basically calms your brain so maybe u took something else with it that caused your racing thoughts and anxiety (like too much coffee or nicotine through smoking).
      Phenibut is another gabaergic substance that’s similar to Gabapentin maybe you could try that. But be careful only use small doses and educate yourself about it.
      Other gabaergics that might help are baclofen and pregabalin.
      Do your research on these.

      Did you try each one for a good amount of time or were you switching medications often? If it was the latter, then maybe that's why you didn't consider certain meds to be effective.

      They work for people when they are properly diagnosed. They thought I was depressed put me on anti depressants didnt work, then they thought I was bi polar and put me on anti psychotics and it was awful, they realized it could be OCD and treated me with prozac and oxcarbenzapine and I feel like a real person now! I’m not struggling with thoughts that no matter how hard I try I cannot get rid of. I don’t have fight or flight reflexes to simple thoughts or intrusive images. I have read books, gone to therapy, yoga retreats, tried different environments, hobbies, sports, friends, tried every religion nothing helped. It’s almost like symbolic of having a demon inside me my entire life bc I didn’t have control over my own thoughts and fears and they’d take up so much of my time. Maybe that’s where the whole demon exorcism stuff came from., They may have thought not being in control of your own mental state meant someone else was in control, and if that someone else is causing bad thoughts they must be evil. It feels so damn good to finally be able to put down my sword and have peace inside of my mind. I can now make plans more than a day in advance because I don’t have to worry about whether or not I’ll be having a ‘bad mental health day’ that day and ruin the plans i make. I can finally enjoy life instead of before when i was just trying to cope with having to exist here.
