Let’s give it up to the high school gym teacher who starts an affiliate. At that time….incredibly progressive to not just do that but to bring those concepts into the school. And the gymnastics teacher who (with the gym teacher) took DB out to tell her…”uh…you’re going to college. PERIOD.” Everyone needs a push in the right direction and with no parents to guide her, they did. Love that $hit.

I love that she had these role models who refused to let her fail. They saw her potential and gave her the tools. She is an incredible person, and she rises up after all she has been through. Wow, is all I can say. So much respect for DB. :)

This is what CrossFit needs right now - a return to the story and meaning behind our athletes and people. It’s easy to get lost in the lights, the shoes, the brands, and the egos; this brings it back home. You guys have done such an amazing job with this.

My wife, has been waiting on this film to be released. I know why now. A lot of their similarities in growing up as a child having to fight for themselves. She laid in bed last night watching this. As for me I know I have so much more respect. I’ve learned in years as a first responder that before you make an opinion on someone you should get to know them first. Their story will often tell you a lot of who they are and why they are the way they are. So proud of her! Also as a Fire Chief I work with a lot of teenagers through our schools that have the same path to overcome like Danielle. I will for sure be sharing this video with them for a way of encouragement towards them to see that their past doesn’t have to define their future! Thank you again Danielle for your transparency and honestly! That’s called being real and owning who you are! Much respect! Stay Focused! 👊🏻

I was already team DBE as I knew there was more to her than the surface. I felt really emotional watching this as I could relate so much at times it felt like I was watching parts of my own life. We both very well could have identified as victims and continued the viscous cycle that is addiction. Sport saved my life as well. I don't often share stories of my life as I've always been ashamed of where I've come from so thank-you DBE because you are truly phenomenal and I realise, I fkn am too! I'm so happy that your mum has been 13 years clean. Unfortunately mine relapsed with meth only a year ago but we're on the road to recovery (again). Remain unapologetically yourself, stay hungry and humble girl because you're inspiring so many people.

Wow. This was so emotional and well done. It changes so much about how I view Danielle. I'd seen her on the Sevan show and thought she was smart and able to hold her own in the interviews and was aware she was one of the top athletes with a reputation for being a bit boisterous and badass, but I had no clue about the real person and what she'd been through and how much she had to overcome. It's heartbreaking but also inspiring. I don't know how anyone can watch this and not pull for her 100% going forward. I can't wait for the sequel to this documentary when it will show how she wins The Games. So, LFG!!! -- Danielle Brandon Energy is infectious and UNSTOPPABLE! God bless Danielle and her family and all the friends and supporters who have been there for her.

Love her even more after this. Being someone who resonates with her story, I applaud her for putting it out there. Younger me could’ve benefited from this and I’m so happy that it’s out there for those who need it. DBE forever!

I always admired the insane skills Danielle has, particularly on her hands. However I was always dismayed by the volatility, as I see in her the same same temper I possess. (red cards in soccer anyone?) And I try to be so easy on the judges in CF competitions. But now seeing this, and the vulnerability and access granted, I am firmly in the Danielle camp 100%. This took me from a casual fan to "there's no one else I want to win the Games more than her". God what a warrior. I get it now. Nothing but good things for you Danielle

Haven’t fully completed watching this yet and I can say I’m blown away by this documentary. RAD knocked it out of the park with this. There’s a reason why I love them and have 4 pairs of their shoes ;) I admit I have never been sure what to think of Danielle but hearing her history, her family struggles and her ability to fight through it all has 100% made me a fan. Rooting her on now and definitely following her on socials now.

Know Danielle from Natural Selection CrossFit. I have always adored her and I adore her so much more learning her story. She beat the odds with help from those who loved and cared about her and saw her potential. Proud to know her and proud of her achievements. Get ‘em DB ❤

I don't know who's idea was to make the documentary but it will do great things for someone that definitely deserves. Talk about "don't judge a book by it's cover"... such a sweet girl. Danielle... if you evr get to read this or if it gets to you. You have nothing else to prove. You ARE already a champion in life! Anything else is pure gravy. Not that it makes a difference as I am no one... but I am a fan and was a fan before I knew your story. You are a beast of an athlete and since Dwayne Johnson is no longer using it, you should take the title "The Rock". :) Keep on pushing the limit girl! We are with you!

Amazing story of triumph over a childhood that could have destroyed her life. Wow. Inspiring, and made me an even bigger fan. Also, EXCELLENT movie so well crafted on every level. Great job R.A.D., and rooting for Danielle to win it all!

Oh my goodness. She quickly became one of my favorites when I first got into watching CrossFit, just based on her ability and spunk and the way she stands out in the crowd. Now that I know her story I truly admire her more than I even thought I could. She’s an inspiration.

Amazingggg. I knew i loved danielle for being true to herself and sticking it out. Always wondered how some of these athletes lived and if just growing up with money made their dreams happen or what. Obviously not the case here and i feel she is so humble. Great video

Incredible documentary, and unbelievable resiliency shown by DB. I would love to see her help give guidance to kids that are facing the same hardships she was able to overcome. I honestly didn't think I would watch this entire documentary, but I couldn't turn it off. Great job to all involved!!
