Well for one, you can't play this build as AFK cause Guardians don't bring in any health sustain and they can't take any aggro cause they're invulnerable. Don't think of them as pets, cause they're not pets. They're just independent, untargettable damage sources. You need something else to bring in the healing, hence Acid Purge and Sigil of Consumption. Second, you totally can do pure DEE spam, if you make a build for it. But the whole point of this build was to juice Guardians as much as possible, cause I only ever used them for RR but not as an actual damage skill. And while Guardians are nice and all, it's one skill, with just two nodes to invest in. You're gonna have a ton of points left over and if you don't invest them in other damaging skills, well, you have fewer damaging skills = less damage. Plus there's utility in stuff like the transmuted DEE, even with a single point invested. Utility this build can make good defensive use of.
