Enjoyed the video. After 8-9 years of loving my Onkyo TX-NR609, it's been having HDMI & power-off issues, so looking at my options for a replacement, and Denon is certainly at the top of my list.
I've got the same with my Onkyo. HDMI issues... 😔
My Integra is also having the same HDMI issues, going to Denon now.
I now have the Denon 2700. Great unit. You can switch it to pure HDMI monitor 2 out, or duo or pure monitor 1 out. Think that helps preventing the issues rather than always have duo out.

@@rgrandmaison absolutely no problem. At all! My Onkyo got way hotter. I have my Denon in a pretty small cabinet with not that much space. I run it every day for long periods. Movies, playing games and watching tv. Most of the time volume level around 55/60 witch is pretty loud. I constantly feel it when I turn it off. Onkyo was way hotter. In the beginning I smelled it though. But I guess that was 'newish' smell. Now that's gone. So don't worrie! 👍

I just got this AVR Amplifier, So Far its Great. Its a Little Difficult to Navigate at times But I paired it with my New Sony Bravia X90K 75inch TV & a PS5 and its Awesome Sound. The Only Problem is that it doesn't Output 120hz in 4k on the PS5 even in Enhanced mode & Performance mode to the Sony Bravia only 60hz 4k but will Vrr/Allm & Hdr10+.
What input do you have the PS5 in in the back?
@@rambledogs2012 Hey, turns out in order for the 120hz to work and or to have it running through the Avr plug the PS5 HDMI Cable into the 8K input on the back of the receiver. And another High speed HDMI cable from the E-arc/ arc /monitor 1 8k out to the TV. Then make sure to turn on enhanced mode on the amplifier input setting for that connection. then it will transmit the 120hz signal back and fourth from the TV and PS5 through the Denon AVR. also have the ps5 set on performance mode not quality mode with 4k if you have it. hope this helps.

Question how would you set up Dolby Atmos and second zone? I will have 2 in ceiling speakers in my exercise studio (prewired) and 5.1 surround ceiling prewire in great room. I was thinking of only using 4 ceiling speakers and purchasing a center speaker on entertainment center and sub (1 or 2). Should i use the front right and left for dolby atmos in ceiling? Or would i need to use the surround channels?
VCRs Wii, etc have composite video out. This unit does have these inputs BUT will not convert your audio to HDMI. I have a new HDMI only TV. I cannot connect the VCR or Wii to this system to get video. Will be returning this unit. If it wasn't for this $10 upgrade it would have been great. Still doesn't have the audio balls as my 40 year old Onkyo.
Cant chose wich one to pick 2700h or 3700h. Planning to do 5.1.2 atmos setup for ps5. But cant figure out what is IMAX features of 3700 does. Is it worth to pay almost double for 3700, if 5.1.2 is all i need?

@@TheValles100 i recently bought 3700h actually🤣 because planing to do preamp my front giant speakers. Want to listen them with a lot of power) preamp option,x32 audissey with bass calibration, more power and ability to add 2 more atmos speakers is key bangers actually. 3700 sound actualy 2-3x times better than my old harman/cardon 330🤷♂️ very happy with this avr!

Anyone knows how this compares to the TX-NR696, I've currently got the NR636 and want to upgrade, don't know whether to go with Denon or stay with Onkyo, is there much difference, sound quality wise? Ive got Q acoustics I series set up with Klipsch 15" Subwoofers

@@dockfork6446 Uno what, i actually chose to go with denon and now I see why it is much more popular, denon is just much more lovable as there is more customisation in terms of EQ and control over individual channels, and less connectivity issues, I think overall denon is just a Lil better, thanks though

Hey guys, first of all I'm new to all this home theater system. I've just bought my self lg c1 55 oled tv, planning on playing 4k content and blue - Ray and use my ps5 on the TV.
I wanted to buy soundbar originally like a Sony ht a7000 or Samsung hw-q950a but I ended up purchasing Denon AVR-X2700H and Focal SIB EVO 5.1.2 Black from Richards & Sounds with a budget of £1500 including cables, I don't know if if this good setup or if these items are compatable.
How would go about connecting these up speakers - avr -tv and where do connect ps5? The tv hdmi 2.1, not sure if the avr as 2.1 hdmi.
Can I connect Jamo Sub 250 with this one? I'm confused as it's 250W one to pair up with this Please advise

Thanks for a fairly good introduction to the Denon AVR 2700. At least you did point to the inputs and outputs--though very quickly. You could have mentioned by name phonograph or CD decks as the older audio units. But I'm mainly concerned with the higher capabilities and features. It would have been great to have a part 2 where you actually go through an initial setup, because I've experienced that often the on screen walk through does not walk--it runs or skips or assumes. Also, I did not appreciate the continual downgrading of this unit by referring to it as "an entry level" unit. I never had that idea, nor was it suggested when I was selecting a receiver. I'm investing in a $3,500 Sony OLED TV and I want to be sure it can perform to the best capacity. Now I'm thinking I've made a mistake and will be returning this to Best Buy and start over looking for the right receiver. And yes I need the Zone 2 for my patio. I previously had a great Yamaha unit that performed really great for 15 years (2006).
The entry level statement was not meant to be derogatory. In the model lineup there are several units above this one. Each model has more features and more capabilities. This model is right at home in a smaller theater space or a living room.

id go with an integrated amp to get the most out of it. The 2700 is plenty in stereo for bowers

As long the 8K Displays are still not on the market, what is the sense to buy the 8K AC Receiver from Denon?
To make your investment future proof. Besides there's lots of 8K TVs.
No electronic equipment is future proof. There is only one HDMI input supporting 8k anyway. By the time you will get 8k tv there will be amplifiers equipped with 6 or 7 8k HDMI for half of the price. On the other hand, if you have 8k tv already, you probably not looking at entry level AV's.

Please does anybody know if this receiver support 3D video pass? I wasnt able to find it anywhere. Old model X2600 DAB support it...
The Denon AVR-X2700H is suffering from eArc issues using eArc and a games console via eArc and sound mode selection. Not using bitstream, but LPCM.
It only happens when the source is eARC (ie internal apps from the TV when eARC is enabled or using a games console via eArc). The Denon app shows Multi-channel PCM input, however, the output options are not the same when receiving multi-channel PCM from an input directly connected to the receiver.
When using eArc on my TV connected to the Denon, the denon receives multichannel PCM input from the TV, but when I go to select a sound mode on the receiver, I only have a choice of multichannel stereo, stereo or DSur.
Why will it not let me select a sound mode like Multichannel PCM? It should let me output the same format as what the receiver is receiving? Like Input-Multichannel PCM Output-Multichannel PCM.
There is a clearly a bug with this receiver, that will not let me output Multichannel PCM as a sound mode over eArc.
Input (eARC multi channel PCM):
Output (choices are Stereo, DSur, Multi Ch Stereo):
Can test this to see if they have been able to get Multichannel PCM sound mode output? Rather than Stereo, DSur, Multichannel stereo?
I am sure this is a bug with the latest receivers? And needs fixing via firmware update.
