You know things are getting good when retro Charlotte content is posted! Anyways, the Southern States GM dealership in Concord would have been located somewhere where Ben Mynatt, or Tim Marburger would stand today. Oh, and both WCNC and WSOC weren't the only ones to air Jeopardy: WBTV did as well! Thanks for posting such retro content from Charlotte, always appreciated!

When Concord was still country. 84-86 were the best years of my life, Charlotte was practically paradise in 1980-86. Before unseen forces kinda ruined Charlotte. By 1987, I started to not recognize the place. My childhood there, was beautiful. My girlfriend's mother had been recording the WBTV Star Trek episodes at this time. I'll never forget the wonderful times, and loving people in Charlotte.

It is cool to see commercials from another part of NC. I grew up in Northeastern NC.

I love that Jeopardy promo where Alex Trebek dressed as James Bond saves one of his fans from risking her life which made fun of the risking rule of how we play the game.

0:00: The Unknown Theme Is WCCO’s Theme From 1983.

Thanks for the info. I saw that the theme was listed on Southernmedia News Music Search Archive as "WCCO 1983 News Theme" with an unknown composer, but I'm not sure that's actually what the theme was called, as that's typically how Southernmedia lists themes they're unable to positively identify. I'll leave it unidentified, but note that it was also used on WCCO.

I’m sure I remember that bonkers Jeopardy commercial. I wish more commercials where like that kind
Of crazy kind of fun but not so stupid you forget what the commercial is about.
