Coastal Erosion on the Isle of Man: An update

In 2003 we produced a documentary on the problems arising from coastal erosion around the Isle of Man.
In this short update presenter Alex Brindley revisits some of the locations to see what's happened and talks with politicians and experts about the problems. Using computer graphics he shows what the effect of sea level rise might be on the north of the Island and looks at the logistics of protecting the coast from erosion.

Congrats on an excellent series of documentaries.
After 6yrs an update would be welcomed.
Further to the planning decisions akin to Kirk Michael. Who approved the planning for houses in the Sulby River flood plain, off Gardiners Lane, Ramsey? An outrage in the face of global warming, which will increase the flooding of the Sulby.

Coastal erosion is caused by more than waves, there is allso wind as well as storms to take into account and allso incude human activity, eg
Strutrul engeineering and removale of sand witch allso happededs naturaly. All of these elements contribute to a global cause around the world.
