Not sure, I've never experienced that. Though they are sensitive to being rotated into position exactly the right amount... too much twist and they won't work. I wonder if you got a bad batch?
@@rubbercheesereviews was wondering how to test the internal connectivity? Can't be the fuse if the fan works great-- first one bulb did work, then unplugged them & replugged...then the one that worked stopped, but the other was on now, lol.. So I gently twisted the one that worked --it went off, but when I twisted it back, it wouldn't come back on. Frustrating! I unplugged & replugged em about 3 more times, trying all sorts of twisting actions lol -- nothing. Think I should ask for another set from them, or?
It could be, but I'd recommend hanging it. By hanging it, you don't have to worry about it tipping over and breaking. I also find that hanging it higher seems to attract better than having it down low (I now mount against my fence to get it away from the patio, but don't catch as much as I did when it was hung higher).
That is true, but for the first couple years, this was the most convenient place in my yard. I've since moved it to my back fence - nice to have it away from my patio but effectiveness doesn't seem any different.
I disagree - the whole point of this is to control the mosquito population in the area, even in the neighbour backyards since mosquitos have no problem flying over the fence haha. Since posting this video, I have mounted directly to my fence, and have it raised up to attact mosquitos from neighbouring yards.
Thank you for the thorough review.
just got one....so apart of me is excited cause I am in the same boat as you
I replaced bulbs but they don't go on either tho fan works! First one worked, then re-replaced the same new bulbs, then the other, then neither. Wth?

have the exact same problem going on now....first one worked, then tried switching them out now neither works but the fan is running

Mosquitos are not attracted to UV light, that's why there's only dead moths & other bugs.
It’s supposed to be 30 ft from the house. Not where you sit.
