Depression, is something that I've been going through for my entire middle school life to now, which at the time of writing this, i'm 22. Not once in all those years have I truly felt happiness or any other positive emotion. I've gotten really good at faking positive emotions though so people don't worry. So far I've attempted to take my life in 3 different ways and I've gotten close, only to chicken out at the end. Even though I feel like crap, and I don't care about much at all, the few people I do care about would hate me if I did something like that. One of the times was through a traditional noose, which I got caught making one and went to therapy(which only made it worse). Another way was was just starving myself of all food and water, which I got close to doing before my therapist noticed, and my family would've gotten involved but luckily they didn't. The last way was going to be a quiet means of just going out on the ocean, and swimming as far and as deep as I can, and just do it that way, but then the boat broke down. Every time I try, it keeps getting messed up some how, I can't even plan a suicide correctly, I truly am useless.If I were to die, i'd feel like i'd actually be alive.
What if there is something that gives you a sign that you shouldn’t kill Yourself? Life is shitty and I wanna die so bad but there are some people who care about that’s why I’m alive. I’m also faking happiness and kinda tried to kill myself once. But I care for others and I think that you‘ll be happy one day. I believe in god (sorry if you don’t) and I believe that he has a plan for everyone. I wish you the best and that you‘ll feel even a little bit of happiness one day. Life is shit but sometimes the world isn’t. I would like only stay alive to look at the beautiful moon and the stars. But I’m not happy and I would feel alone so I would still want to die but that doesn’t matter right now. You know there are good things. Even if you can’t see them right now. Just think that way some people have nobody and how you said you have some people. And I really think that maybe it is fate that you don’t die because someone/something wants to show you that you should live. Just know I care about you. I don’t know who you are but I love you and care about you. I wish you the best and I hope that everything will be fine. You deserve happiness, you are worth it, you are beautiful, you are not a failure, you are loved, you are not alone and there will be something that makes you happy one day. Depression is a bitch and it sucks but there are ways so get help. Even if not from therapy just listen to me... If you get help, take it. Don’t hide your feelings, don’t lock your heart, don‘t think you are a burden. If. you. can. get. help. take. it... please. Thanks for reading :)

Same. I actually almost died in a riptide was taken 1/4 mile out and when I was out there I had shock but also this incredible peace.. like this is it.. finally. I floated on my back and got scared of drowning and somehow reached the shore again. When I got back I cried face down on the beach and nobody cared. Nobody came to help. I have a lot of regret (especially when it first happened) that I made it back to shore. I should’ve just swam further out and that would’ve been the end of it. I wish I would’ve swam further out.

You may just not feel the same for months and it’s like you’re death. Some situation may happen and it changes you completely. Could be heartbreak, rape, family shit, who knows? You don’t need to be dead to feel death and think you actually are. I already feel I’m dead bc of problems I made myself which now I feel I’m paying. I’d appreciate a prayer.
