I love the little projects too. They might not have the wow factor of some of the larger full drill items, but they are quick little fun bits like small candy bars. You get a blast of fun and it doesn't take months to complete like the giant tapestry types. Still love that koi clock. Can I just say I am LIVING for the googly eyes. 8)

Hi Julie! Welcome to the diamond painting community. I tend to start my diamond paintings by "kitting up" where I put the diamond drills into containers to make it easier to work with. Then I section the canvas with color tape to manageable sizes and work one section at a time one color at a time. Not everyone sections their canvases but I like the feeling of finishing a section since diamond painting can take many hours to complete. Loved watching your video. They are all beautiful. What do you mount all your diamond paintings on is it black poster board? Where did you get the book that you record all your info in? I put the diamond paintings on black construction paper using double sided tape. I made my diamond painting journal myself. I have made a couple of videos on how I made it and the blank templates for the journal are available in the shared templates link in the video.

The black background on your canvas - are the pictures glued to the black card stock or are you making frames with the black? Do the square gems have gapping? I thought they didn’t have as much as the round gems. I want to compliment you on the zebra. That had to be a hard one to do and hard on your eyes? It is gorgeous. What DP ruler do you recommend.
The black background is black construction paper or the black paper that came with the some of my portfolios. Square diamond paintings shouldn't have much gapping which is why I gripe about it when there is too much gapping. I don't recommend the DP ruler for squares since there is only one size out there and a lot of companies print canvases that do not match the ruler. The ones for round work really well though for many diamond paintings. I don't use the rulers anymore though since it takes longer to diamond paint with them.

I give away the small items like keychains during Halloween, given some as gifts, but otherwise, they're framed on my walls or in portfolio books.
