The Rob Zombie Halloween was the first ever Halloween movie I watched and I liked a few aspects and hated some of the others. Such as humanizing Myers. Humanizing a horror villain could have worked for anyone but Myers. However I can’t deny that Tyler Mane’s representation of Myers is chefs kiss for what they gave him. He is definitely my third favorite of the Myers actors behind Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney.
You really decided to show us "your opinion" here by saying this "humanasing myers" argument every smartass halloween fan is spitting under every video about the remake while sniffing their own farts
As mentioned, my issue with the Rob Zombie films is that they humanise The Shape. What I loved about the original - though devalued in the sequels is that he IS the Bogyman.
I have been watching all of these since I woke up today I’ve seen some twice but they are great!!❤ I love the lore builds and stalky boi you’re commentaries are awesome ^_^
@@StalkyBoi I’ve been around for a short while just hadn’t commented. I will be staying :) even if we go against each other during a match on dbd and I don’t make it lol. I’m a good sport and it would be super cool going against your Michael myers! I would try to live lol that’s the keyword try XD
After seeing some cosmetic choices and how myers looks plays and sounds. I can definitely say myers in dbd is a hybrid of rob zombie and the 1978 myers
I have an idea for a build! The Wendigo lore build. The Wendigo is known for never being satisfied after killing a victim and no one escapes the clutches of the Wendigo so you should put noed or blood warden. The Wendigo also loves the thrill it gets from hunting the victims, the THRILL, you know where i'm going with this one, the hex perk: thrill of the hunt.(VERY underrated). Back to the never satisfied thing, you can put whatever you want that makes sense. AND for the last thing with the Wendigo is that it causes fear and chaos where ever it goes so you can put fearmonger or hysteria or whatever crap you want that goes with fear and chaos. The killer you should play is huntress with the deer skull and if she has black clothes, customization on or demogorgon with the black version. LOVE YOUR VIDS
there’s a couple of fan cuts of this movie that make it follow the pacing of the 78 movie and skips all the childhood stuff. one also uses various tracks from the other movies. i would recommend it tbh it‘a a great watch
Rob Zombie's films take place in an alternate universe in which his psychiatrist tried to treat him instead of calling him evil everytime he spoke. Alex DeLarge's treatment made him larger (no pun intended) and angrier. I sometimes wonder if top sirloin steaks and steroids were a part of his medication. Nothing of Ernst Blofield's treatment of Michael Myers is known. I imagine Michael Myers escaped just to get away from the raving lunatic who frequently goes on rants about evil and the Devil.
I liked some of the humanization of Myers but with that did come the villainization of Loomis, which on one hand bc of his actor I found it to be hilarious but on another hand it was quite sad. I really only liked Loomis and Michael in these movies and I hated that Laurie and her friends were basically, "girl1" "girl 2" and "girl3" they had nothing that really made you care about them like you could in the original. Overall I did like the first RZ Halloween but if anyone asked I don't acknowledge the existence of the second one
The original Halloween will always be my favorite because no remake can replicate what Halloween’s original theme. For people who love making movies about the most classic horror films they don’t really understand what the predecessors stood for. Halloween was built around the idea that even in a peaceful, normal town, a horror of any kind could just show up ruin everything. The shape of evil could take everything you love without reason or cause, it was just a natural force of the world. That’s why Micheal in the original film was so good because his character was something that could be real, a killer that could kill you. Supernatural elements aside Micheal was just a killer, one who could appear at any time. However in the new movies they focus more on his spooky supernatural aspects rather then the purpose behind the character. That’s why I always hated remakes, they never focus on the character and only what he could do so they could get a stamp for the icon. It’s why Micheal straight up brawling with a crowd of people and surviving doesn’t feel right. I hope future filmmakers catch onto what I’m saying.
I take a lot of issue with an angry Myers, in Zombie’s films or others. The dude isn’t supposed to have any emotion whatsoever according to Loomis the one and only man who ever actually got a peak into his head. No happiness or sadness or anger. Just nothing. The thought of a guy who gains nothing from killing you but does it anyway is so much scarier to me. Myers isn’t supposed to have motives and emotions give motive. Either way I started off hating the first zombie film but over time I’ve come to kinda appreciate it as something different. His version of Michael is a cool slasher character just not a good Michael Myers.
Zombie’s Halloween is the closest I’ve come to enjoying a Rob Zombie film. It’s crazy how good a lot of the cinematography is in the movie. This movie shows that Zombie can direct but shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a script. Every character is unlikeable and it only gets worse in the follow-up.

@@bbdawgjr9804 I really enjoyed it but I get why some people didn’t. I more so meant it’d be interesting because there’s gonna be two builds, one very very weak and one decently strong.
@@bbdawgjr9804 Yeah there’s no reason to spread negativity when I literally said I enjoyed it but I understand why others don’t. This is the problem with the horror fandom and why Scream 5 had such good commentary on it. Like y’all literally get angry at people for liking something you don’t that has no impact on anything important in life.
I feel like the best remake would be faithful to the original but progress the story at the same time with added flair, but this film kinda just is too different that I feel like it could work with any random killer.
@@StalkyBoi Yeah you could insert any other troubled serial killer into Myers's spot and nothing would change. It felt like a deconstruction of the character. As for if it was a bad film or not...idk. The second film undoubtedly is horrible though.

I may get a lot of hate but I actually really like the more human psychological Myers in the FIRST Rob Zombie Saga (The 2nd one is terrible). It's brutal and scary, actually What you would expect for someone like Michael in real life, and also has some aspects of the original like using his victims like Halloween decorations. I quite like the Movie, honestly, but nothing beats the original Shape. (Also, I found someone who said the Remake was way better than the original and that 1978 was plain and boring, how can someone be that stupid?)
