Kim lives with Ken. She's a liar - I think the boat is a place when the girls visit so they don't have to be with drunk step-daddy. I think Barry booted her out of that building. That's the word on the street, but I'm not sure if that's true.
Be hard on Kim. That woman is such a problem. And they aren't discussing her DUI at all.
And isn't it interesting that all the kids choose inconsistent, controlling, or lying partners? I wonder why that feels so normal from them? Where could they have learned that?🤔

Olivia looked odd when she came in, but the way she looked at the producers made me think this was set up and she thought he knew she was coming.

Same. It was no coincidence they were filming Ethan when she showed up.

Yes it was all planned, just some TLC drama, they were scheduled to film together 😄 But she was confused, thought they agreed to divorce before she got there & he started asking to stay together.

Ahhhh but remember Jenny, these kids DIDN'T grow up texting or with phones at all, he didn't even know how to order from a Menu, saying he preferred ones with pictures 😁
Olivia was on So Bad It's Good again a few days ago & clarified Ethan's "list" - to stay married & have a family, she must rejoin the Religion they were raised in, be a Conservative Republican, & vow to raise their kids in this manner, including disowning any who might come out of the closet one day! He didn't offer any changes, it was either she go back to the sheltered 18 yr old version of herself or divorce ... just her taking photos for gay weddings was too much for him 🤯

Yeah, this show doesn't get into the nitty gritty of their beliefs for a reason. Olivia can't agree to that nor should she. Ethan needs to let her go. Good people don't plan to disown their kids if they are gay. They don't actually care that much about family.

@@nicolemensch4343They sure don't, you can watch their confessionals & almost every time Ethan mentions "values/beliefs", just replace that with "anti-lgbt" & it's clear what he's really saying ... but TLC will edit anything to make themselves look good. Don't get me wrong, Ethan can believe whatever he likes, but him trying to dictate what another believes just screams Kim 😫

That makes me so sad. How can you be raised so religious and then have hate for a group of people?? Maddening

    • @wendyrhps
      @wendyrhps 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@RealityTVBreakdown Sadly a lot of people use their "beliefs" as an excuse to be bigoted & that family has appeared to be snobby since S1E1 😔

@@RealityTVBreakdown Very easily, based on most religious people I've known.

I cannot with Olivia. Your assessment earlier that she is similar to Robyn is so on point. She’s dramatic, seeks chaos and cannot let a grudge go. I’m not saying Kim and Barry weren’t jerks to her BUT her personality was like oil to the fire. Ethan needs therapy. There’s something not quite right with him. But they didn’t make sense to me from the beginning. I do see where she brought some good to the family in terms of getting them to try new things but man the cost. Someone who is properly yoked won’t have you choose between you and the family. Boundaries yes but complete cut off? No.

I agree that Ethan just needs to move on. As you said, they philosophically divided. I like Olivia but I have never quite understood why she couldn’t let Ethan enjoy time with his family. She wouldn’t have to go to anything if she didn’t want to. Of course the other siblings kept pushing on her to be involved. I think that if they had just invited her with no expectations of her participating, things would have gone better.

@@hollishaley-o5u from interviews I've heard, she and Kim have a long history and Kim befriended her when she was struggling with her own parents. I think she ended up feeling very used and discarded by her. I also think that with Ethan, Micah, and Moriah all trying to find themselves outside of their controlling family made Olivia feel like she had a whole group of people to heal with and break away from their childhoods, but she was much further ahead and they all turned against her as she remained too rigid in the boundaries she drew. Living with Ethan's siblings had disaster written all over it. They were all so young and immature. I do think they are better off apart, and I hope Olivia continues to mature and sees where she was too controlling. I hope she doesn't end up as a mini Kim.

Olivia is just Kim but with different beliefs. Olivia was just as controlling to Ethan as Kim was but she was pushing him to do everything he wasnt allowed to. She wasn't letting him figure it out and learn what he wante and believes. She just wanted him to be where she was. Ethan needs to be on his own and figure out who he is. Kim and Olivia are narcissists, her sister even said she is too much like Kim.

If Kim’s houseboat is in a dock in the Gulf of Mexico, she’d better be sweating pretty damned hard this weekend. I drove through the Big Bend devastation about a week afterwards on my coastal route to Pensacola last year after the hurricane (my son was being pinned Chief Officer), it was unbelievable and power was still being restored, old oak trees turned upside down, buildings destroyed, tornado winds snapped the trees in half, alligators and eastern diamondbacks were on the small roads - some hit by cars from their displacement.
If she didn’t insure that pos, there goes that investment. No hate, but it’s that time of year and Hurricane Debby is projected to land up that way…

Good point. I knew a lady in Virgina Beach who was a teacher in the district I worked in, who lived on a sail boat. She missed a few days of school when a storm was coming because they hauled anchor and moved to calmer waters until the storm passed. Kim can't do that bc the boat doesn't work! BTW, congrats to your son!!! Impressive.

The lady who advised Kim on how to discuss divorce with kids was renting the dance space for her business & Kim was living above it! I think Barry wouldn't let the girls stay at Ken's, forcing her to get a houseboat ... she's the poster child for Hypocrisy, everything she raised those kids to believe is "evil", she now condones & encourages! Not excusing things he's said/done, but he seems to be more open-minded & that makes me wonder if kicking out Moriah was mainly her decision 🤨 OR maybe he just wanted to score some Dad brownie points by giving her the Master Suite 😁

See I saw the Olivia and Ethan scene differently than you did. Its interesting how we get different view points by watching. Kim makes me nuts. Also, Olivia didnt mind Ethan seeing the kids and Barry eventually. The problem was always Kim. Ethan still has a hard time around Kim. It was the credit card scandal that I believe 100% kim did what Olivia said that caused the most problem. When Micah and Moriah blasted Olivia that she was lying because Kim told them she was lying even though Ethan said it happened as well. I think Micah and Moriah should have stayed out of it honestly. But the fact that Ethan would leave home for a month at a time and not miss his wife enough to call her. Thats a problem. Also, their beliefs and opinions are so different. Olivia doesnt want to be a housewife. Thats ok, but Ethan and Olivia wont find a happy medium. They are both not gonna bend. Moriah needs to remember how her mom kicked her out of the house when she was a minor. Barry seems much more understanding letting her move back home now. I despise Kim.

Sorry, can’t watch these. Olivia isn’t a villain for not wanting to live under Christian patriarchy. Ethan wanting her to be how she was isn’t any more fair than her not wanting him to see family. I bet every time he came back from a visit, she got to listen to some ranting about religion, not cooking and cleaning without his help, etc and that’s why she didn’t want him to see them.
