Back when i played it during the steam next fest i just kept my laptop turned on for several days with the game constantly running so i could play it beyond the end of the demo period.
Lovely game, and surprisingly deep layer of strategy too. I so hope they will add or allow player-created content - like custom cards or enemy sets, or even heroes/factions to spice up the game even more, make it even deeper and crazier and elevate it to a legendary status.
Yes, I've only beaten the boss a couple times but they've unlocked new added challenge modifiers each time. Also, without spoiling anything, the bosses aren't static!
No, never been much of a fan of StS, plays like Dominion, elegant, quick but dull! Pirates Outlaws reiterates that brilliantly. This doesn't compare just because it's card-driven. Looks rather like it fit's with Monster Train or Has been Heroes... But glad it get's some love looks decent. Cheers!
The most frustrating thing about the Wildfrost demo was that it was a demo, lol. I played it and immediately wanted the full thing.

Well, you did have the demo atleast... I, on the other hand, missed all the demos, even though I was hyped up to Wildfrost
Surely that's the goal of a demo. You know beyond reasonable doubt the game is worth buying and enjoying.
Thank you for the kind words Wheels! So glad you enjoyed your time with Wildfrost 💕
Thanks for the code! Hope the launch goes well - Wheels

In the description section, where you posted the link to pre-order Wild Frost, you actually typed "Slay the Spire"
Nice review.1 Question after u beat the game is there some sort of higher difficulty to unlock?

@@MrMixWhelan that sounds cool thx bro.
I've been playing the demo on my switch to the exclusion of anything else 😅 Absolute banger of a game, can't wait for it to release!
Gazi did an amazing job with the art and visuals 🤩🤩🤩
it's absolutely gorgeous!
Is it even possible to 'kill' rogue-likes/rogue-like-likes/rogue-lites?
Not really, they just restart at level one again.
This game is so refreshing, gorgeous, and fun - glad to hear you felt the same way!
Nice review! It looks really good
The idea of a single player game "killing" another single player game is bizarre to me, but still, nice review
We must all play the TH-cam game in some respects 🕴
@@dicebreaker yeah I can see what you mean now that o through about it
Please tell me how many cards are there?
Not alot.
Been waiting for this to drop!
Great review I subbed.
there's a typo in your video description... i assume you did not mean to title the steam link with "slay the spire"
Seems like it shares a lot of D.N.A. with Nowhere Prophet, which I strongly recommend.
I have heard good things but not had a chance to try it yet! - Wheels
Monster train was the slt killer. Wild Frost makes it completely outdated.
Plus there's backpack hero.
Monster Train never got close. It's fun but it still isn't anywhere near as lean and well made.

Your description says "Slay the Spire is available on PC" but I think you meant to say Wildfrost
Unfortunately I can’t buy this, because I already preordered it on switch. Was my favourite game at EGX, Zoe told me about it when I met and gret EG
This 4 sure a neat game
But i love the kinda simplicity of slay the spire, tho
what I really need is an android version. il pay 40$ easy for high quallity rougelite rougebuilder
There is an android version now. It's about ten dollars.
Thabk you just bought it @BlueZirnitra
@@Elkoshite No prob. Me too, I'm really enjoying it. Some bosses are brutal but it feels like you get a lot of options to get powerful enough.
Another cool game that's a Windows exclusive
available on Switch as well! Also runs well on Steam Deck which I've been playing it on so Proton also an option - Wheels
"Slay The Spire killer"? Monster Train came out a few years ago.
Meh, never hit the spot for me. Just a bit too much extra "stuff".
I'm generally not a fan of games that people say are 'killers,' but this does look mighty charming.
