A big thank you to everyone for your support this year! I made 20 Originals - a new yearly record - and, while I know some episodes are weaker than others, I hope at least a few of them made you laugh. I'll be back with more next year, hopefully better than ever. Until then, happy holidays, everyone!
Fun fact: If you set the language to Spanish, the Brickster's "Break a leg" line will be translated to the equivalent expression "Mucha mierda", which means "lots of shit". So, yeah, there's profanity on a LEGO game.
This game is definitely one I grew up with, it wasn't my favourite even back then, but it did teach me about my own insignificance. If you take the boat on the island and start sailing away, you will never find the island back. It's just a vast, endless ocean with nothing in it.
Technically it is shared property with other companies, (the ones who developed them I mean.) So it’s understandable that they wouldn’t play significant roles, but I would understand them having them as cameos and such.
+CreepahKillahRSA Not really, just a coincidence! When he asked me to cameo, he had no idea I was working on a Lego video as well. Just kind of worked out!
To anyone wondering, the series didn’t end due to low sales. In 2002, Lego was very close to insolvency due to declining sales and having too many divisions so it shut down its video game division not long after this game’s release to cut costs. Even today, Lego don’t make video games and have other companies like Traveller’s Tales develop them instead so they’d weather the losses. Lego merely publishes the games so the financial impact is almost nothing.
Autumn Heart Yeeaah, Lego Island isn't really brought into any modern Lego Media unfortunately. But in one of the trailers for Lego Worlds there's actually a part where it says "Brick by Brick" which got me way more excited than it should have.
Eyy I helped~! Man, whenever I'm just not interested in a conversation I want to play that ocean sound. "WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU! I'M SORRY, THE HEART OF THE SEA CALLS TO ME RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT!"
Legopatch Harry I still find that rock song from the game to get stuck in my head from time to time... "LET'S ROCK AROUND AND SEE THE ISLAND... WELCOME TO EVERYONE, LET'S ROCK AROUND... CAUSE' I LIKE IIIIT!"
I'm surprised you didn't talk about the music yet. I think all of the LEGO Island games have good music, but LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts has my favorite soundtrack. (the first one comes close though)
I played all three of the Lego Island games growing up to some extent. But Xtreme Stunts by far got the most play time out of me! I LOVED this game! And I also especially loved being able to purchase the physical Lego sets to be able to play with the set pieces from one of my favorite games!
Wow! I remember playing this game when I was little! I ended up finding it when these stupid kids were throwing random CDs at each other. They were all over the road afterward, and I scavenged around and took what I wanted when they left. I don't remember everything I found, but I remember finding Crazy Taxi for Sega Saturn (Or Dreamcast, I don't remember.), one of those old PlayStation Magazine discs, and this. I had a lot of fun with it! :)
I just was digging around some lego round my house and found a "lego studios" movie set (it comes with a camera and editing software) with a lego Steven Spielberg (This is real, google it.) The director in this game is lego Steven Spielberg.
I remember having this on the PS2 as a kid. I dont think I ever completed it, because the game would crash. I just remember being in awe of the open world, mainly that skate park. So that shows how much I actually saw lmao.
Well, despite some of the flaws present in this game, I can confirm that it's far superior to the Gameboy Advance version that I am not-so-lucky to own.
Ian, you make me so happy... Every time you release a video I get so SO hyped. If I have a headache and I watch your videos then it just goes away like magic... "Happy happy Christmas Ian"
Personally I think all of the Lego Island games have a lot of flaws that hold them back, but at the same time I find them to be a guilty pleasure. Island Xtreme Stunts will remain my personal favourite for having the most content while still being entertaining. The first one was the most entertaining but got boring really fast due to the lack of content, and the second game despite having some charm and catchy music, suffered a lot of game breaking moments including way too many inconvenient instructions on what you're supposed to do at times. Oh and as an interesting fun fact about Island Xtreme Stunts: the Brickster and the Director in this game, are played by the same guy who would later play the Italian characters in Lego City Undercover. If there ever was a Lego Island game made like that one, it would probably be my new favourite, but considering how Lego disregards a lot of their work in the past, then I think it's safe to say that Lego Island is pretty much a dead franchise that will never get another chance.
Mr. Ian moose, I would like to just take a moment to express my thankfulness for making such great videos over the years. You always have made me laugh with your swanky 'I don't care' attitude, and I appreciate that.
Wow, I can't believe I'd never heard of these games before I saw Brutal Moose play them. My brother and I had a whole bunch of the lego sets based on them, but Pepper was just "the pizza kid" to me because I had no idea he even had a name!
Coming from a reaaaaallly biased as hell person who grew up with Xtreme Stunts as a kid, I totally agree with your opinion, Ian! This was definitely worth the wait and enjoyable to watch! Thank you so much! Hope you have a good Christmas n all partner yeeehawww
+Sky Spider Girl It didn't disappoint though... sure you cna watch it in 2015 and call it shit, but back in 2002, this game (which was pointed to little KIDS) fucking rocked.
Sky Spider Girl I certainly enjoyed the shit out of this game when I was a kid, so much that I still play for now and then just for the cheer sake of nostalgia.
you know, if an attempted murder isnt enough to get the brickster back in jail... what crime did he commit to get himself sent there in the first place?

I've tried downloading this onto my current computer but it can't run it. And honestly? After watching this, I'm not too disappointed because it seems the only thing that made the game super cool is how mysterious it was.
oh my god i loved this game so so much as a kid. The fact that the story can be completed in a few hours while i probably spent weeks to finish it ruined my day lol
I pretty much grew up playing the Lego Island games, but after going back to this game a few months earlier this year, i think i agree with almost everyhting in this video.
After years of spamming in comments on your videos and streams and requesting for this review it is finally out. Thank you so much Ian, Merry Christmas. Played a lot to this, being a LI fan, though always had a mixed feelings about it. Love it's soundtrack.

Merry Christmas love your entries!
You're amazing!
+brutalmoose You're my new favorite youtuber, on top of getting me into Euro Truck Simulator 2.. Happy Holidays!
+brutalmoose Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Moosey! [Purple Hearts]
+brutalmoose You're doing a bunch of my childhood games recently! Happy Holidays!
Fun fact: If you set the language to Spanish, the Brickster's "Break a leg" line will be translated to the equivalent expression "Mucha mierda", which means "lots of shit".
So, yeah, there's profanity on a LEGO game.
+Fernando Gil That's awesome.
Byotiful.
+Fernando Gil So then the closing statement would wish that Pepper becomes shit instead of breaks his leg?
Thanks for showing the bad word in Spanish
Are you sure about that translation? I thought "mierda" meant "he/she dies"?
This game is definitely one I grew up with, it wasn't my favourite even back then, but it did teach me about my own insignificance. If you take the boat on the island and start sailing away, you will never find the island back. It's just a vast, endless ocean with nothing in it.
Damn bruh
Why is the last part relatable..
That’s not true! The water eventually loops back around to the other side of the island! Not sure what the lesson is there, though... 😄
@@Mr._Mints I guess the lesson could be that the world is round...and that it's a small world (after all). Sorry, that's all I really got.
I can't believe neither Pepper nor the Brickster showed up in the LEGO Movie. :/
+Luke van Kleef Fingers crossed he'll be in the 2nd one
Loonmight The Coyote Indeed.
I'm surprised none of them showed up in Dimensions.
Technically it is shared property with other companies, (the ones who developed them I mean.) So it’s understandable that they wouldn’t play significant roles, but I would understand them having them as cameos and such.
I think maybe that would have been cool... too bad about that now...
So Ian's singing of "Brick by Brick" in Caddicarus' video was foreshadowing this?
+CreepahKillahRSA Not really, just a coincidence! When he asked me to cameo, he had no idea I was working on a Lego video as well. Just kind of worked out!
+brutalmoose haha oh nice, I though it was planned.
+brutalmoose It's all a conspiracy- I mean what a weird coincidence.
+CreepahKillahRSA Call of Ogel
It was a happy little accident.
DID ANYONE TELL YOU THERE'S A SECOND GEAR? ~The Brickster, 2002
"Woah, I'm shaking my bricks now."
"Stand back and watch my DRAGONBREATH BLOW!"
*BRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRBRB*
"Pepper's pizza makes me dribble"
Evan the Jackalope
"Don't worry, they're not gonna explode or anything."
Stop I heard it in his voice
I’ve been randomly hopping back and forth in time through Ian’s videos and dear god the whiplash in hair and general appearance is wild
Confirmed: The Brickster is the long lost brother of Wario and Waluigi.
WAAAAA
@ 10:55 LOL
*_WAAAAA_*

I'm a little disappointed Pepper or the Brickster didn't make it into the Lego Movie.
+Autumn Heart that would be awesome!
Yeah that or lego dimensions :) That would be awesome
Autumn Heart Yeeaah, Lego Island isn't really brought into any modern Lego Media unfortunately. But in one of the trailers for Lego Worlds there's actually a part where it says "Brick by Brick" which got me way more excited than it should have.
Can't believe no one saw Brickster as the villian. Everyone on that island is as thick as a brick.

well I mean the police actually caught on, I guess under that hat was a few more brain cell bricks
Jethro tull
🎶@@gecttakhla4249 GG! Timeless song/album = Jethro Tull ~ _Thick As A Brick_
Oh man.. I'm not too sure about these stunts, I mean, kids could be watching. This game might be TOO extreme
Xtreme*
So Extreme, they didn't even need the E
+Happy Mask Gamer the E fell off from the extreme extremeness!!!
+FanfareT.Loudest It exploded into little pieces, just like the y in michael ba
My parents won't even let me play this game, that's how extreme it is. ._.
It still warms my heart knowing you took the liberty to replace the intro with the traditional Lego Logo
The term "Lego logo" makes my sense of alliteration really kick in.
Eyy I helped~!
Man, whenever I'm just not interested in a conversation I want to play that ocean sound. "WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU! I'M SORRY, THE HEART OF THE SEA CALLS TO ME RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT!"
PEPPER'S PIZZA MAKES ME DRIBBLE
Happy Holidays, Ian!
D: Gato Galactico! Como é que eu fui o único a reconhecer?
não sabia que o gato galáctico conhecia LEGO island ;-;
caramba
Wath??? Tu tá aki
@Asa Jonathan it’s the bots again
I grew up with this game. It's probably one of my most nostalgic games for me.
AND IT'S AWESOME TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
+The Lunatic Fridge Me tooooo... but the game... egh its kinda.. egh... but still really nostalgic
+The Lunatic Fridge I replayed it recently after not having played it since I was really small. It's so bad, but I don't even care.
+Gamingsub64 the music you have to admit is awesome though
Legopatch Harry
I still find that rock song from the game to get stuck in my head from time to time...
"LET'S ROCK AROUND AND SEE THE ISLAND... WELCOME TO EVERYONE, LET'S ROCK AROUND... CAUSE' I LIKE IIIIT!"
+Legopatch Harry yup
For no apparent reason this video shows up at the top of my youtube home almost every day, so I watch it almost every day.
Send help.
Ya this game hit me at just the right time as a kid. Any freeroam world as a kid was magical
this came out on my birth day!
what a glorious, unintentional present!
+Adam Wolf (Pizza King) Who said it was unintentional? ;)
+Adam Wolf (Pizza King) Happy Birthmas XD
"You shouldn't have come here . . . . . . But you're just in time to watch the world deconstruct and you along with it!!!!" lmfao.
I'm surprised you didn't talk about the music yet. I think all of the LEGO Island games have good music, but LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts has my favorite soundtrack. (the first one comes close though)
Can you please review Lego Rock Raiders, Legoland, Lego Stunt Rally, and Lego Racers 2?
At least that boss fight is better than the ones in Mega Man X7.
Preach.
BURN TO THE GROUND!!!
Just give those damn bosses less health, and they'd be loads better from that alone.
*****
He said better, not good.
BURN BURN TO THE BURN TO BURN BURN TO GROUND BURN
I dont really play Lego games, but that doesnt stop me from watching you always....bust them apart. Im sorry. :(
Are you though?
Huh
I played all three of the Lego Island games growing up to some extent. But Xtreme Stunts by far got the most play time out of me! I LOVED this game! And I also especially loved being able to purchase the physical Lego sets to be able to play with the set pieces from one of my favorite games!
You should call the director Steven Spielbrick
OMG FINALLY! Thank you so much brutalmoose for finally getting around to make this video!
YOU KEPT YOUR PROMISE!
I LOVE YOU!!
In my opinion, Island Extreme Stunts is but a mere spinoff of the Lego Island games.
That's the best story of finding a game I've ever heard
Much better than my finding an old cassette tape underneath a bush one time... GG!
I loved this game, I grew up with it. This was my favourite LEGO Island Game
I just was digging around some lego round my house and found a "lego studios" movie set (it comes with a camera and editing software) with a lego Steven Spielberg (This is real, google it.) The director in this game is lego Steven Spielberg.
I hope you have fantastic festivities Ian because you're always doing...your best!
piece of wood?
all these island games make good resting places.
+CajBaj the White GOD DAMNIT MARY!
Sulthan14 All these sex games don't make good resting places.
+itaybron you know? This riverbank makes for a good resting place
+itaybron Mary almost drowned.

i own the gameboy color version of the second game, it was pretty fun and had a lot of stealth sections for some reason
Yes! It's finally here! Merry Christmas, Ian!
I dunno about everyone else, but I'm still waiting for a Lego Racers 2 video.
You don't know how long I've been waiting for this. I've been here since 2012 man. We made it.
0:47 - ...and despite not having Windows 95 compatibility...
Ian, you make me so happy... Every time you release a video I get so SO hyped. If I have a headache and I watch your videos then it just goes away like magic... "Happy happy Christmas Ian"
Man that movie sure was Danger-esq
Nunchuck-gun!
+tehn00bdude Looks like he's gonna have to stunt!
+CajBaj the White Well, it Looks like we're gunna have ta JUMP!!!!
Thumbs up if you get that reference.
Tristan Cannaday I can't emoji but yeah, I do. I love me some HR, man.
+tehn00bdude He fights alone. Except when it's with pizza, which is all the time.

Mr. Ian moose, I would like to just take a moment to express my thankfulness for making such great videos over the years. You always have made me laugh with your swanky 'I don't care' attitude, and I appreciate that.
“The evidence fits like a snug glove”
Was that an OJ reference?
Wow, I can't believe I'd never heard of these games before I saw Brutal Moose play them. My brother and I had a whole bunch of the lego sets based on them, but Pepper was just "the pizza kid" to me because I had no idea he even had a name!
Look at that beard. That is a nice beard.
This video really is a gift that keeps on giving.
Merry christmas y‘all!
This game was the SHIT as a kid, dude.
Coming from a reaaaaallly biased as hell person who grew up with Xtreme Stunts as a kid, I totally agree with your opinion, Ian! This was definitely worth the wait and enjoyable to watch! Thank you so much! Hope you have a good Christmas n all partner yeeehawww
pre TT Lego games are..... scary.
I have not seen such bravery
Oh look GTA 6 is here!!!!
Thanks for this christmas present. I hope you have a wonderful christmas time with all your loved ones.
out of pure nistalga i built the original island in lego worlds
Bullsh%t. Also it's nostalgia not nistalga.
Merry Christmas Ian, hope you get all you wish for and look forward to a new year of videos
With such a 90s name like XTREME! This games was destined to disappoint
+Sky Spider Girl It didn't disappoint though... sure you cna watch it in 2015 and call it shit, but back in 2002, this game (which was pointed to little KIDS) fucking rocked.
Yeah it seemed like if I was younger and played it as a kid I'd super enjoy it
Sky Spider Girl I certainly enjoyed the shit out of this game when I was a kid, so much that I still play for now and then just for the cheer sake of nostalgia.
the lego intro gave me shivers.
it's not that deep
Please do Lego Rock Raiders for PC
i love the brickster breathing fire on the jailbars. its so unerving
WAH - Brickster 2015
Brickster is Waluigi confirmed.
I haven't watched BrutalMoose in like 7 months.
one word. beard.
Shout outs to the seizure jet ski lady
A brutalmoose upload on Christmas Eve?

Oh, so that's the puppet's name! Thanks.
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO FOREVER!!!
I think we just saw a forgotten Michael Bay film... Never mind, this still had more substance.
dat burn doe 🔥
I grew up playing this game, so this gave me some insane nostalgia.
you know, if an attempted murder isnt enough to get the brickster back in jail... what crime did he commit to get himself sent there in the first place?
Bricking and entering
+Samuel Oleksak he actually says that
Looking back the stunts were pretty underwhelming and the story was practically nonexistent, but I absolutely loved this game and how immersive the island itself felt when I was little.
I'VE WAITED FOR THIS VIDEO FOR 2 YEARS FINALLY YOU DID IT ILY MOOSY
IT'S FINALLY HERE
I'VE WAITED YEARS FOR THIS
You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this
love this channel, your not making too few videos. you make a perfect amount where i want to check in to see that magic upload and be pumped to watch it
That director character is supposed to be Steven Spealberg. I know becuase that figure was in my Lego movie making set. Along with several other builds in this game.
That set incidentally was actually about using Lego to make movies.
Holy shit this video is already 2 years old! It feels like it just came out...
You've finally done it Ian. The Lego Island Trilogy concludes.
The fact that they were willing to just let the Brickster off with nothing but a warning reminds me of Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons, and how he got out of jail like 25 times now.
YES - this is the second best christmas present I've ever got!
Finally, this gotta be an aweseome episode
My cousin had this game when we were younger, and it had a really badass opening mission (the high-speed pursuit mentioned) that none of us were any good at. The problem was is that it always crashed after or during the that first mission because the disc was so damaged. That jumping through the billboard on the motorized bicycle was completely awesome. I've tried downloading this onto my current computer but it can't run it. And honestly? After watching this, I'm not too disappointed because it seems the only thing that made the game super cool is how mysterious it was.
Happy Holidays Brutalmoose!
I love these channels, really just make me feel so warm when I can watch some funny videos about old pc games which I love. Love you BM...
Awesome xmas gift for us Moose!
When he said "I hope you can all hear me" at the end of the video, my headphones cut out.
I'm serious.
Been waiting for this one for a long time Ian.
oh my god i loved this game so so much as a kid. The fact that the story can be completed in a few hours while i probably spent weeks to finish it ruined my day lol
Christmas came early. Another fantastic video Ian! Can't wait for new videos in 2016!!!
Ugh. It's almost 2:00 in the morning and i still cant sleep. This happens every year. And it's technically Christmas day, too. Great.
Your shirt is epic!
Merry Christmas Brutalmoose!
I love how the music in the end of the video is perfectly synced with the seconds of the video.
I've waited so long for this episode!
I pretty much grew up playing the Lego Island games, but after going back to this game a few months earlier this year, i think i agree with almost everyhting in this video.
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
Fantastic Festivus!
After years of spamming in comments on your videos and streams and requesting for this review it is finally out. Thank you so much Ian, Merry Christmas.
Played a lot to this, being a LI fan, though always had a mixed feelings about it. Love it's soundtrack.
7:06 they really snuck in a jab at OJ
the 3 lego islands, lego rock raiders, lego chess, the lego racers games (1 and 2), and the lego creator series (Harry Potter, knights kingdom, creator) were my absolute favourite games to play growing up. I put countless hours into each game. I mean as a child, they all exceeded my expectations, and I didn't feel like any of them were flawed.
oh, not to forget legoland and lego loco.
