I’ve started converting my older cars after watching these videos and so far I have done the C7 corvette, 2016 ford lm gt and the 68 mustang, it’s been a fun challenge and now I want to convert all of my 6 wide collection haha keep up the great work!
That is as perfect as this kit can be. Great work Sven, I must say that I really enjoy seeing your progress from video to video. The 7 stud conversion was clever and inspiring, keep it up!
I really like it. Was never a fan of the smaller models, and think the 8 stud look so much better. Can't wait for them to remake the 911 or maybe just make a Carrera GT .
I have the green Porsche 911 that came in a 2 pack with the 911 RSR racecar. And I am curious if the instructions will work on the green Porsche as well
Great job, 7 wide is a good fit. Big fan of the new 8 wide sets but agree that some cars would be better as 7 wide or even 6 wide for say a mini. Trick is to have enough space for the interior, two seats etc, so 5 wide.
This is really cool I love the Porsche 911 but could mod the 2020 Nismo Gt-r to me more accurate, I feel like it is to tall for the actual car in real life
This build is great. Before you make the final model you could add some wide body fenders that go out to 8 wide like on some real cars. And if you do redesign the Ferrari f40 you could use the older 4wide gray one I used it for mine and I works just as good
Hi and thanks for the comment! Those are all the parts including the ones from the original set. Almost all of the grey parts are interchangeable with other colours.
I’m trying to design this in a 7 wide but similar to the ferrari racecar they did that is 8 wide in the front and 9 in the rear i’m trying to do 7 in the front and 8 in the rear to capture the shape of the 911
the 911's front and rear bumpers are supposed to be exposed and stick further out than your new interpretation , so your model doesn't look correct , and the rear slope of your 911 is also slightly looks a bit off . I never liked those top plates for the 911's top of the wheel arches , they don't make the 911 look good or sleek above the top of wheel arch lines , neither that triangle slope 2x1 at the rear of the front wing near to window line . I myself changed my speed champions 911 slightly , and got rid of flat plates above the wheel arches , and used the standard arches with no plates above the top of the wheel arch lines . Instead of a triangle at the rear of the front wing which doesn't look right , I myself put small side mirrors on my 911 . On the rear front bottom of the top of rear arch I used the small 1x1 flat round triangle there on both sides . On the sides of the rear roof slope behind the drivers seat position , i used a 1x1 black brick with the hole in the center , and behind that i left the little tiny gaps as was possible when laying down that rear slopes on the sides . That 1x1 black brick on the sides of the sloping roof simulates a real 911 targa turbo's black side strengthened pillars that are on a real 911 targa turbo , and some of the little tiny gap of a hole on the sides behind that black pillar with the hole that I could achieve get simulate some sort of small side window . I left the bumpers as the original , and on the rear bumper I added the triangle brick in white one brick hole in on the rear bumper . The widest part of the triangle brick sticks out at the top with the slope going inwards at the bottom of the rear bumper . As with the original real 911 turbo , the rear bumper has the two big rubber crash protectors on the rear bumper . So the miner changes i have made to the original size speed champions 911 , the slight changes I have made to mine , make it look better than it originally did . The original 911 turbo though needs those stuck out bumpers as is on the real 911 turbo , and targa turbo .

I like how you made a prototype in different colors. It would a cool idea to display this with your complete build as to show off the design process!
That’s a great idea! Unfortunately I don’t think it’s still around
That is such a cute 911. Really love the outcome of the smaller but larger than original scale. That rear window salutation was genius by the way.
Thanks so much! I was dead chuffed with that window, not gonna lie 😀

That is awesome! I’d love to see photos, send me some on Instagram if you want. Thanks for the comment!
Saw this on RB, nice job I also did in the past my own 7 and 8 stud modification of this set and I am sure that 7 studs are the best choice!
Thanks for the comment 😃 what’s RB? If you mean Racing Brick please link because I haven’t seen that!

amazing transformation! it really dose better in 7 stud format
Thank you kindly 😃

Thanks mate!
Great job, 7 wide is a good idea for some cars.
Thanks 👍
Amazing convertion! Looks even more accurate than the 8 stud version
Many thanks for the kind words!

It’s the exact same build so it should be good
@@ridgelineenjoyer1517 thanks, sounds like I've got a bricklink order in my future for green parts for the car

@@svensbricks your welcome. Did you manage to catch my 8 wide MOC version?
@@speedybrick hey! I did after you wrote this, yours looks a lot better than my 8 stud wide attempt, great job!
@@svensbricks thanks, most appreciated
7 wide really is ideal. At the rate we are getting new parts this task should become easier.

Great build Sven.
Just checking the last 3 pages of moc, are those the extra parts that i needed for the conversion?
Thanks

Yep, have my eye on that one, it’ll happen!

The hood/bonnet is one stud too long. 😢
