What a stunning Maria! Her voice is simply beautiful and the music so lyrically rendered. It is rare to hear sopranos singing with this sort of control and expression anymore. Her portamenti are gorgeous and tender without being syrupy or messy. Kudos to her and to her voice teacher. She is extremely well trained. Also, she is not merely a fine singer, but also a great actress. She conveys a great range of emotion effortlessly and naturally. I find her portrayal of Maria to be among the most believable I have ever seen and heard. Eliza Masewicz is special. I read somewhere that she was only a sophomore in high school when she sang this. I can only wonder what she is doing now. She has huge professional potential!
