I love hearing the rain on your umbrella. It’s like ASMR. Love Pioneer Square too!!

I'm always a fan of rain ASMR, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I'm sure there will be more in the coming weeks, since it's always raining here in winter 😂 Thank you so much for watching and for your comment!

My umbrella served me well and I 100% went and sat at a coffee shop after I was done 😉

It feels ever-so-slightly like New York in this area! Really glad you liked it, Donna 😊

Good morning my friend, this is really amazing to just watch and let yourself emerge into the whole experience in the evergreen state of beautiful Washington :) As I had a chance to live there for a year, I still miss a lot of parts of it, and it is stunning to see that lot has changed but also not haha. Thank you for being able to visit this amazing place through your video at least :) sending much love and take care.

I agree, the architecture in Pioneer Square is different than pretty much anywhere else in Seattle. I love the history here! Thank you for watching 😊

Hello friend; thank you for braving the rain, and walking. It was just what I needed after a migraine and kind of a lousy day and my virtual office. I'm ever so glad to hear that you like the Zeitgeist coffee, I would have been embarrassed, if you decided it wasn't very good. I'm also glad you found the waterfall garden, I've hung out in and several times over the years and I have good memories of hiding out there with a picnic lunch with my grandma. :-)
If you ever feel like going back to pioneer square just because, you should also check out the Klondike museum in the Cadillac hotel. It's actually a very small national park that is completely free. The point of the museum is to show what travel was like during the Klondike Gold Rush and what you needed to survive once you got to Alaska. The cool thing about the Klondike museum, is that there is a sister museum on the other end that you can visit should you choose to go to Alaska so you can say you made the whole Klondike journey so-to-speak they will even give you a little passport booklet thing, that basically says you survived the journey from Seattle to Alaska; I think I still have one somewhere.
Anyway thanks again for the walk I'm glad you like the coffee from Zeitgeist :-). Have a wonderful day.

Zeitgeist was awesome! And I generally trust coffee recommendations from people from here 😉 But what a great space to hang out in. And a very solid latte for a lot cheaper than everywhere else I've been. So they get points for that alone.
I saw the Klondike Museum on my walk and made a mental note to go back and check it out. I had no idea what it was, so thank you for the info, I'm so curious now! And I had a great time while I was in Alaska, so maybe someday I'll make it to the sister museum 👀
Pioneer Square was such an interesting place to explore. The architecture reminds me a little bit of NY, which is maybe why I liked it so much. But I'll definitely go back more often 😊

@@WhereTheLocalsRoam hello friend; I'm very glad to hear you like Zeitgeist coffee it is still one of my favorite places for coffee in the entire city, and you should definitely check out the Klondike museum on a weekend when your bored and don't want to spend too much money because it's totally free :-) so there's that. Plus you get to also see one of the oldest hotels in the city which I think has exhibits in it but I'm not sure because I can't get around the Cadillac hotel they don't have elevators because it's so old and too many stairs for someone in a wheelchair which is why I'm thankful the Klondike museum is in the basement technically.
You should also still check out the observation deck on the Smith Tower I know you mentioned you don't drink but they have great food and non-alcoholic cocktails, and you would get to visit the space Needle before the space Needle at least that's the way the Smith Tower used to be advertised :-). Not to mention if you really explore pioneer square there's tons of hole-in-the-wall restaurants and bars that no one talks about but everyone knows like the underground bar, that is literally what it's called I can't get in there again because of stairs but I've seen pictures and it's old architecture and whatnot not to mention there is merchants Cafe witches I believe still the oldest operating bars in the city the food's not very good but the inside looks pretty cool with the tin ceiling excetera.
As always thanks again for everything you do I hope you have a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Talk to you soon especially if I come up with another idea for something uniquely pnw you should see.
