Of all the mainland Chinese carriers I've flown domestically (economy), I have to say Hainan by far is the one that impressed me the most. They also seem to be the one's that seem to be coming the closest to matching the offering (they obviously still have a way to go) of the established Asian carriers or ME3 I think. On a side note, those B/E Aerospace Super Diamonds are becoming very popular, VA's is still my favourite finish though ;) Great video!
VA's middle seats have a divider I guess, so it looks and feel more private, I haven't been on so not too sure there :D What Hainan has done well was the catering and amenities onboard this domestic flight, they were of international long haul standards. Still long way to go for IFE. Thanks Daniel!

Also just a video idea, maybe you could do a flight review on Xiamen Air because another TH-camr did a review on Xiamien Air and it was absolutely horrendous from what he was saying. Only thing I would say and agree is ...for a one month old aircraft the QC is not great when simple things like a charger that does not work says plenty about service standards...
I flew Hainan a couple of weeks ago and for the 1st 45 minutes of the flight, those outlets are not engaged. After that, it worked fine the entire 13 hour flight. I used it for a CPAP machine and it worked perfectly fine for me.
Thanks for watching! A lot of airlines have gone through financial burdens. Hainan is a bit like JAL now, improving their products instead of cutting costs, hoping to gain more premium passengers.
Another great video. Very similar to HK Airlines (sister company) new business class on their A350-900 but I prefer the colour scheme on Hainan Airlines more . Not a big fan of the blood red seats on HK Airlines though. Curious how you got invited by Hainan Airlines to ride for free?
On any new airline cabin class roll-out or introductory service, you can expect that the airline is going to be on top of its game and on its toes to portray themselves in the best possible light. A more realistic trip report would be to sample this offering 1 / 2 years or more down the road. Top rated airlines tend to be consistent in their product year in and year out and always striving to improve. Having said this, everything I have heard about Hainan Airlines seems to align with your trip review. The landing though 'seemed' to be somewhat rough or your camera and sound equipment is very sensitive. Thanks for sharing and taking us along on your trip! Cheers. 🥂

Nice video review, again! Whenever I think about the 789 and business class seat, this is the one that comes to my mind, in American, Air Canada, Aeromexico. I would expect Priestmangood and Hainan to customize it a little bit more. But the fabric is quite nice! Which one do your prefer? The one in Cathay A350 or this seat?
Yes the seat looked very much like Air Canada's to me, just different colours which in fact, look quite nice! For seat, I prefer Cathay for great leg space. But Hainan really stands out from the catering. Thank you very much for watching and have a lovely weekend :D

Why don't try the Economy class ? Economy is much more 'popular' than Business class.And I think it's a waste of money to travel a short haul flight in Business Class.(You can't really feel it in a very short time...)

i flew economy with hainan from brisbane to shenzen and i was very impressed for a cheap flight. the service was all class and to top it off, i had a 6 hour stop over so they put me in a hotel!!!! i believe any stop over 6 hours they put you in a hotel. i couldnt believe it for such a cheap flight. and the hotel was decent too, although i had to share a room with someone else. but it was great to be able to have a shower and relax but another long haul flight.

What a perfect flight, and more than what I expected for a 3-hour flight. Hainan is truly a best airline in China, and their services are stunning. The seat looks really great too. I can say this is my most favorite video on your channel 😍

Of all the mainland Chinese carriers I've flown domestically (economy), I have to say Hainan by far is the one that impressed me the most. They also seem to be the one's that seem to be coming the closest to matching the offering (they obviously still have a way to go) of the established Asian carriers or ME3 I think.
On a side note, those B/E Aerospace Super Diamonds are becoming very popular, VA's is still my favourite finish though ;) Great video!
Too bad they lost ~$74.5 million USD in 2018. I wonder how long the HNA group will last.
VA's middle seats have a divider I guess, so it looks and feel more private, I haven't been on so not too sure there :D
What Hainan has done well was the catering and amenities onboard this domestic flight, they were of international long haul standards. Still long way to go for IFE. Thanks Daniel!

Only thing I would say and agree is ...for a one month old aircraft the QC is not great when simple things like a charger that does not work says plenty about service standards...
I flew Hainan a couple of weeks ago and for the 1st 45 minutes of the flight, those outlets are not engaged. After that, it worked fine the entire 13 hour flight. I used it for a CPAP machine and it worked perfectly fine for me.

Very similar to HK Airlines (sister company) new business class on their A350-900 but I prefer the colour scheme on Hainan Airlines more . Not a big fan of the blood red seats on HK Airlines though.

Thanks for watching! Yeah Hainan is still improving especially on their consistency, they have various business class seats for long haul.
On any new airline cabin class roll-out or introductory service, you can expect that the airline is going to be on top of its game and on its toes to portray themselves in the best possible light. A more realistic trip report would be to sample this offering 1 / 2 years or more down the road. Top rated airlines tend to be consistent in their product year in and year out and always striving to improve. Having said this, everything I have heard about Hainan Airlines seems to align with your trip review. The landing though 'seemed' to be somewhat rough or your camera and sound equipment is very sensitive. Thanks for sharing and taking us along on your trip! Cheers. 🥂

Nice video review, again! Whenever I think about the 789 and business class seat, this is the one that comes to my mind, in American, Air Canada, Aeromexico. I would expect Priestmangood and Hainan to customize it a little bit more. But the fabric is quite nice!

Why don't try the Economy class ? Economy is much more 'popular' than Business class.And I think it's a waste of money to travel a short haul flight in Business Class.(You can't really feel it in a very short time...)

i flew economy with hainan from brisbane to shenzen and i was very impressed for a cheap flight. the service was all class and to top it off, i had a 6 hour stop over so they put me in a hotel!!!! i believe any stop over 6 hours they put you in a hotel. i couldnt believe it for such a cheap flight. and the hotel was decent too, although i had to share a room with someone else. but it was great to be able to have a shower and relax but another long haul flight.
I’m glad you had a great trip with them in economy, because so did I! I booked my own hotel in Beijing because I didn’t know they offered free transit hotel 😱 Anyway, thanks for watching :D

they now try to retrofit all aircraft to have this interior. And reason why that have so many is because they want to try which one is the best, and by the time they introduced one new product, they want to introduce another one :)
