One of the best sounding rock records in Heavy metal / rock history. That drum sound still kills 30 years later. Feel the air in that kick. That's how a kick drum should sound! And Vince never sounded better. I can't even listen to Dr, Feelgood, but this.... I can always come back to this record.

If you weren't a young teenager in 1983 you can't imagine how cool this was when it came out. And this is a fact that people forget...not really too long before this was released, less than 10 years, this guitar sound wasn't even a thing Just the gain and distortion sound of these guitars blew me away at the time.

SHOUT OS THEIR MASTERPIECE from when they were HUNGRY & READY TO PROVE TO THE WORLD HOW GOOD THEY WERE. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER BSND LIKE MOTLEY CRUE NOR A MASTERPIECE LIKE SHOUT. FROM THE ON THE BEGINNING INTRO ON SIDE ONE TO THE ENDING TRACK DANGER ON SIDE 2 THERE IS NOTHING BUT THE BEST HEAVY METAL YOU WILL EVER HEAR .TO BAD THEY HAD TO GROW OLD. Well it is the final half minute without the main vocal of Vic that blows my mind. If u notice group singing fading away while background riffs increasing guitar tension and shifting. When Vic stops singing only the full background group vocal dominates while its fading, the guitar in the back starts to go wild and the bass suddenly changes pitch like none previous during song.

When I picked up the guitar and learned a few licks I realized that his style or ability was nothing out of this world, yet it suited perfectly with the music. My father that was born in 1958 can basically just listen to a rest and play it on the guitar. I grew up with guitars all around our home and never once did I learn how to play until I turned 40 years old and then now tearing up. But just imagine if I would’ve started as a child? My father builds electric guitars and we’ve always had guitars around the house and a music room with a drum set keyboard base Marshall stacks, I learned the drums pretty good but I would’ve rather played guitar.

@@michaelm1546 this is 1983, don't know where you were that year but Quiet Riot were on top of the billboard, definitely not Slade, so I did get the band right. Don't get me wrong, I love the original by Slade that came out in 1973, unfortunately for them it wasn't big especially in America. Quiet Riot rocked it up and at the time they made rock n roll history ,so I am very fond of the song because of what it accomplished in 83, it brings me great memories of that year. QR took this great song to the next level just like Jimi Hendrix did All Along The Watchtower. People think of Jimi's version not Bob Dylan's.
